Pros +
- Location is excellent--close to the Messe and downtown. Breakfast was excellent!
- The location is excellent. The station is just 10 meters from the hotel.
- Hotel staff were very helpful and nice. Room was clean and heater was working very well. Location of the hotel is very good as its very close to frankenstrasse metro stop and it was 3 stops away to messe and 4 stops away to main railway station
Cons -
- Only problem was that previously, the hotel had an excellent kitchen for dinner--no more, and restaurants not that great near the hotel.
- The beds are uncomfortable and small. There is no elevator and there are no amenities in the hotel.
- There was no complimentary drinking water and some toothbrushes in the room but receptionist helped us for toothbrushes

We arrived a little early but was able to check in. Cheap parking but there is limited number of parking spaces.
The location is excellent if you are visiting for an exhibition. On a positive note, the staff was very courteous and responsive to emails, which made communication pleasant.
Unfortunately, the room rates during the exhibition period are unreasonably high. We specifically chose a twin room with beds placed far apart, but instead, we received a standard option. The rooms are overly warm—while this might be good in some cases, the temperature cannot be adjusted, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. Additionally, the room had a noticeable smell of smoke. Breakfast is included in the room price, but if you don’t arrive as soon as it starts, there might be little to no food left.

Very good location and fine breakfast
Very small room, very expensive and not well cleaned every day…
Good location, near to underground and link to Messe and city centre. Good breakfast.Very helpful night reception person.
Room was clear enough. Very old-fashioned, but clear and in good condition.Location is good - close to U1 line.
Was too hot in the room, sleeping was possible only with window opened.Breakfast was poor I’d say. Definitely not a 3 star hotel. In my opinion, even considering the exhibition season, the hotel is overpriced.

too expensive during this time, and difficult to know if one books the rooms behind the hotel in a different building then the main building. no elevator is a point i could see peope having a problem with
can't decide on which room in the building in the back, great if one is going by car, but not so practical if one is getting breakfast
Breakfast good. Close to subway for getting into centre (runs under hotel so odd background rumble from this)
More a bunk room than a hotel room. Small but OK for a couple of nights. Bed hard and pillow very thin and uncomfy.Very pricey for what it was IMHO. I think the hotel was using "market flexible" pricing as we were staying for a big exhibition and the hotel was taking advantage of this more than a bit.
There was a helpful and kind receptionist who was speaking English very well. The location was great, close to the underground and the old town. The breakfast was fine, with enough options of meats, cheese, and fruits.
A bathroom was a little bit small. Besides when I asked for plant milk at breakfast the woman didn't understand it (not speaking English) so I didn't get it.

Awful
The beds are small the blanket is tiny and I got sick because it didn't cover me, I am 183cm and the blanket didn’t fit me, they did room cleaning but the sheet didn’t change, and when I went to check in I stayed for 2h because the staff was a sleep

WORSE EXPERIENCE
I recently booked a stay at Hotel Gerhard for almost a week stay, and unfortunately, my boss had an extremely unpleasant experience that compelled me to share our concerns. Upon arrival, the staff at the hotel treated my boss rudely, showing a complete lack of hospitality and professionalism. Despite attempting to address the situation calmly, the response from the hotel employees was far from satisfactory. To make matters worse, my boss was forced to pay for alleged damages that, upon closer inspection, were baseless and unfounded. The hotel staff failed to provide any evidence to support their claim, and it became apparent that this was an attempt to extort money. What shocked us even more was the threat to call the police and evict my boss. Such actions are entirely unacceptable and unprofessional. No guest should feel threatened and unwelcome during their stay. We expected a level of customer service and respect that was sorely lacking at Hotel Gerhard. It's disheartening to see a business engage in such behaviour, and I feel compelled to warn others about our negative experience. We strongly advise potential guests to reconsider booking at Hotel Gerhard, as there are surely better options in the area that prioritize customer satisfaction and ethical business practices.
Looks like I got a new room. Bathroom was spotless.Excellent firm mattress ( I don't like the fancy softer ones).Close (2 train stops) to conference and the train was every few minutes
No air conditioning. Was not required but I imagine with the summers getting warmer it might be an issue.Breakfast was simple, nothing fancy. Its about 4 train stops into central/old Nuremberg with plenty of fancier food options.
Small but nice room with small fridge.Great buffet breakfast.
Vending machine with beer near a hotel entrance though we didn't try it. Parking space for cars. Shutters on the window keep room dim during the day.
Since the window overlooks the road, it is quite noisy at night and difficult to sleep with window open. I have found a web on a bedside lamp. The pillows are so soft that they dissolve under the head.
