- location very good. It's inside the Nuremberg old town. Walking distance to all sightseeing spots. In addition, close to train station. 5min walk to train station. very clean and comfortable hotel. We arrived earlier.. Staff checked us in.

Cons -
- Room small and needs updating.
- Have not balcony
- I was in room 101 and the shower door would not stay closed and even though I tried to hold it closed while showering so much water would get onto the bathroom floor. I stayed there for several days so it was quite annoying to have a mini flood to clean up every day.

Everything was fantastic about the property, and the staff were extremely lovely. You can’t beat the location and the breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable.

Great location and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
Room could have done with a kettle.
Apart of the level of the room, the rest was decent Ibis quality, so basicaly ok.
The window was looking to an inner yard, from where quite loud noise was coming. Despite good isolated windows one could clearly hear it during the night. We know that prices during the Spielwarenmesse are high, but 1100 eur for this room for 3 night is way overpriced.
Worst hotel ever
I have stayed in dozens of hotels around the world and this has to be by far the worst experience i have ever had. I have received just 2 hrs before the check in time an email saying they overbooked the hotel and i have lost my room. They offered an alternative room in a near by hotel and everything was arranged for me. After a very long day of work and walking in the snow with my travel suitcase i arrived at the alternative hotel. When i asked to check in they did not have a room booked for me and they were also fully booked. I waited at the lobby for some time were the receptionist made several phone calls to see what to do. As time was passing by i got angry and left walking to the ibis hotel of my initial booking to ask in person why two mistakes happened with my booking. After arguing with the two receptionist they offered to pay a taxi to take me to a hotel outside the city center. I explained to them that my friends are staying in the same hotel and we are in the heart of the city center and who was gonna pay for all the taxis trips during my stay? They said they only have to pay for the taxi now to take you to the hotel ! Eventually i offered them an easy way out just to cancel my booking and i would stay with one of my friends in the hotel. They accepted it but they wanted me to pay extra because his resevration was for 1 person and not 2 !!!!
The location is unbeatable, 3 minutes from train station and right in the center, already in the pedestrian area.Room is the reliable Ibis standard, good bed and pillow, good isolation.
The building is quite old, elevator super slow. Should put a kettle in the room, or at least have a hot/cold refill in the lobby for morning coffee.
I used this hotel for several times now. Good spot, in old-town. Close to central stationPerfect for a short stay, breakfast is okay
Great location , comfortable and reasonable rates
A little noisy as it is right on the street
I loved the windows and view of the alt stadt outside my window. The room was comfy, the bathroom was pretty spacious for a small one person hotel room (and the room itself was pretty spacious as well), and the hotel was conveniently located in the heart of the alt stadt and near all of the holiday markets.
While I loved the view, the noise levels until later in the evening were unexpected. The parking situation was also a little complicated as you need to park at the Bahnhof and walk over to the hotel (which is in a pedestrian zone). The parking was an additional fee as well.
Location of the hotel with easy walking to city center is fabulous. Easy to reach from main train station on foot. Breakfast was fresh and kept well stocked. If you want a central walkable location at a no frills hotel this is a good option and a good value for the location.
Rooms on front of hotel were loud at night so opening the windows was not an option. Rooms are very small with a very small shower. There was not even a hook to hang a second coat at the doorway. No safe in the room.
Value for money, huge room
Strategic location
The location is near the train station and a short walk to the old town. Good thing we only stayed for one night.
Location was superb!
No coffee in the room, no hand towels available (small face cloths). You have to pay for everything! Come on I know it’s right by a major tourist attraction but give me a break!
Friendly staff, excellent location, room adequately equipped, shower good, bed comfy, everything clean and tidy.
A kettle in room would be useful. The temperature control was ineffective, too hot. The checkin was a long process with paper forms and a long 45 minutes queue, but the staff were very good and efficient; it was the system seemed rather slow and outdated.
Banging location - right in old town, perfect for markets
Mattress was a topper - may as well have sleep on the floor. Ibis is a budget hotel, however the price didn’t reflect this. I understand it’s Xmas markets, however maybe utilise the money you make in the busy season to actually make it comfortable. Want homely like other hotels A place to stay and sleep not enjoy Staff helpful, which must be hard given the stuff they must have to deal with
It was a hotel with a good location and a good price. We stayed there one night. The elevator was a bit scary. I think the hotel was clean for the price we paid, but the best thing was its great location.
The elevator.
The location was good.
They were doing renovation drilling and hammering for two days from early morning without informing us in advance.
