Gästehaus Forggensee

Newer property with comfortable beds and a modern shower/bathroom. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helped recommend restaurants in the area. Breakfast was top notch with personalized selections, as we were the only guests.

I would have liked additional pillows in the wardrobe for use, but other than that it was perfect.

Gästehaus Forggensee is a hidden gem that was perfect for our family stay in Fussen. The room was clean, spacious for our family of 5, and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious - so much care and attention went into a wonderful breakfast spread. I really loved the coffee and water machines in the lobby that can be accessed any time. The real joy of this property though is Michel, the owner and host of the property. He is something special - warm, welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We sincerely hope to return someday!

Staff was great and let us participate in a wonderful schnapps welcome when we arrived. Location was great. Room was great and so was breakfast.

Not too far from the Neuschwanstein Castle...10 minute drive max...maybe 45 minute walk. Breakfast was amazing!!! Too bad it was just three of us as they could have easily fed a small army. The presentation was fantastic, dinning area clean and lovely, selections of locally sourced fruits, cheeses, meats and baked goods, service was outstanding. Heck! I'd go back just for the breakfast!!! But my room was so cozy and accommodating that I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Also, the suite on the second floor, at the end that has a view of the castle (on clear days:), is a must!!! Fantastic suite!

Only wish the grounds of the properties around our guesthaus were a well kept and beautiful as the Gästehaus Forggensee

Michel was so kind. We had a family room for 2 couples and one of us was sick, so he offered us 2 rooms instead. Great breakfast and lake across the street is a bonus. Michelangelo’s Italian restaurant in Füssen was excellent.

It was very clean and in a nice location, a little out of Fussen but within easy walking distance. It is right on a lovely lake. We were welcomed warmly, breakfast was great, and I’d highly recommend it.

It was comfortable, it was about a fifteen minute walk to the town and the host was helpful and very kind.

The hotel was across the street from the lake and a 20 minute walk to downtown. The manager was personable and very helpful (sorry, I didn’t catch your name!). We enjoyed our stay very much!

It was such a lovely stay. Gästehaus Forggensee was quiet and lovely. Best part of our stay, however, was the wonderful host Mikhal (not 100% sure I spelled that correctly) who was friendly and helpful and generous. Really made our stay extra special. Thank you!!

Small addition to original house. Staff non existent from 5 pm. No one around in am that spoke English

There was construction right in front of the hotel, so it was difficult to find.

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Lovely selection at breakfast and all very tasty. Coffee, tea and water available at all times in the reception area. Rooms were a good size with beautiful views. Comfortable pillows! Nice walk into town. Would happily stay again.

Our room was not in the main house and the heating was off, we didn't know this until we got in after dinner so it was a cold night. The shower ran very hot then cold it was difficult to keep it a constant temperature.

They were very welcoming. I am pregnant so they upgraded our room to a better one (it was more convinient with my big belly). We had a very good view to the lake and Neuschwanstein castle. There is a free coffee and tea station at the reception, availabe 24/7. Good location, the center is close, and supermarkets also…

There is a good quality coffee machine avaialble to use at all times, The owner was very helpfulll, even making a special Latte for us on arrival. A good choice of breakfast options, The rooms were very clean. Its location is excellent for visiting the Castle.

The pillows did not work well for us. An optional pillow choice would have been appreaciated.
