Pros +
- Best decorations and new and improved designs, but the location was ok. Not so great. It was next to and old cemetery and my wife didn't want to stay there, but we did end up staying there anyway. Overall, the place inside is great and excellent breakfast, with nice staff.
- Hotel Baskusa in Sarajevo offers a wonderfully comfortable space with a delightful atmosphere. The decor and the inviting scent throughout the hotel create a warm ambiance, complemented by the hospitable daytime reception team. My single room was cost-effective and well-equipped for a restful stay, with the hotel's prime location making it easy to explore the city on foot. The receptionist was particularly helpful with arranging taxi services, and the breakfast served was both good and delicious.
- Everything about this hotel was exceptional. The space itself is warm, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Every detail feels intentional. The breakfast was consistently delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Benjamin in particular was so helpful with extending my stay (more then once) and price matching. You can’t beat the location— right on the edge of Old Town, central yet peaceful and walkable to everything.

- On the downside, there is room for improvement in communication among some team members, though this didn't significantly impact my experience. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Baskusa to all my friends.

I liked the vibe, the perfume of the hotel, the decoration, the location, modernity meeting tradition, the cats playing around, the comfort etc.. I will definitely come back
There was nothing I didn't like
The staff was amazing, especially Leila at the front desk and Nardira at breakfast. All staff was professional including Dzada. Prior to our arrival they were willing to honor our special request of unscented linens. They did not hesitate to make sure that our stay was a comfortable one. Thank you again to Leila for being so warm and genuine in her communication with us! She made our visit more memorable.
Nothing!
Loved the hotel, wonderful location, bedroom really comfortable, breakfast/dining room beautiful, so convenient to the centre , parking was ideal , very nice young man at reception when we checked it
Beautiful design, friendly staff, amazing restaurant
Nothing, was a perfect stay.
The location, the cleanliness, and the staff
Parking, and the curtains. The room in the morning gets very sunny that I couldn’t sleep.
The location of Hotel Baškuća Sarajevo is outstanding. It's just a short walk from Baščaršija, the city's historic old bazaar and cultural heart. This area is filled with local shops, cafés, and restaurants. The hotel is also close to several mosques. The room was spacious and beautifully designed. What I loved most was the unique and artistic interior. The design felt distinctive and full of character.I also appreciated the complimentary refreshments in the room -- bottles of water and some cookies and bowl of fruit were waiting for me upon arrival. It was a simple but thoughtful gesture that made me feel welcomed and comfortable from the very beginning.
My room was on the first floor, very close to the café or restaurant area, and unfortunately, it was quite noisy at times. The sounds of conversations and activity from the nearby area could be heard clearly in the room, and the windows didn’t seem well soundproofed, so the noise reduction was limited.Another point that could be improved is the lack of staff assistance with luggage. When I arrived, there was no one available to help with my bags, so I had to carry them myself from the taxi to the room. While it wasn’t a major issue, having someone to assist guests upon arrival would make the experience much more comfortable — especially after a long trip.
This property needs no more praise - the Time and National Geographic Traveller have said it all! The room was so lovely sunlight-filled; my friend and I fell in love with the room, its unpretentiously elegant decor and warm ambience the minute we stepped into it. Everyday after our excursion in the beautiful Sarajevo, we couldn't wait to get back to the hotel to enjoy the room. The space just feels serene and comfortable both emotionally and physically. The location is also excellent, just a few minute of mild uphill walk from the Baščaršija Square – Sebilj Foutain.
Great location, clean, cozy rooms. Good breakfast.
Nice city and people found close to old town in 5 minutes wook
Hotel looks new 4 star hotel according to services and facilities provided is level 3 star hotel not 4 at all
Air conditioner not working and room was very hot especially dirty during day timeRestaurant waiter and manger show disrespect to guest. They need to improve their skills dealing with guests Rooms very small
Elegant architecture, stylish interiors, very nice location and warm, attentive staff.
The room and hotel cleanness, new furniture and architecture, the Delicious breakfast, the great location and friendly Staff.
Really Nothing
Location, style.
Small room and very small bathroom.
Hard to imagine a better combination of history, location, and luxury in Sarajevo. Great for big walkers / explorers. Situated just above Baščaršija and near the best sunset points in the city. Our room was great – very clean and modern, with a premium bathroom and mattress – and offered a great view of the city.
Not a bother for us, but note that this a dry hotel. Also – despite the solid breakfast buffet, it seemed a little silly that espresso / capuccino etc. weren't included for free.
I had planned to stay two nights, but I extended another night with Baškuća Hotel. This is one of the most fascinating hotel that I have ever stayed. The room is so clean and wonderful; it’s only few minutes to the famous landmarks. Breakfast is amazing as well.I especially appreciate Benjamin, who carried the luggage for me even when he was off his shift, offering me advice on making the trip and greeting me everyday with cheerful spirits. Definitely will come back!
Rooms were clean, staff were friendly, close to the center.
The fact that there is 2 grave yards in front of the hotel. My room’s view was at a graveyard.
The best location of just 2 minutes walking from the downtown. New, clean and well designed!
Rooms size would be better if it’s a bit bigger.
