Stayed at the old guesthouse, room was very comfortable. Very responsive and friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast were great!

The hotel got in touch with me after I made the booking to check if there was anything else I needed, and to provide checkin information, which was a nice touch. The facility includes a nearby brewery, coffee roaster, pottery and goldsmith workshops, which were relaunched by the community in old buildings that were tastefully renovated, or kept up in some cases. The rooms were very modern, and the pine paneling gave them a wonderful smell. The staff were very friendly, and you could tell that they were out to make sure your stay was perfect. A really lovely place. And you have to try the Kellerbier, made right there.

We came to Allgäuer Genusshotel with the intention to relax and decompress. Unfortunately this wasn‘t possible as there was a party with very loud music downstairs which continued to late night hours. We weren‘t informed about it - neither in advance or at check-in. We stayed in the room in the old building, which wasn‘t very comfortable, at least not for the relatively high price we paid. Very disappointing stay.

Room was comfortable, quiet, spacious and very clean. Room service (like clean towels or general cleaning) was on demand. Staff very friendly. The location was Allgäu-countryside as you would like to expect.

What we missed were a safe in the room and fly screens for the windows, especially since the room had no airconditioning.

No curtains on ground floor apartments and no way to get coffee, between 10:00 and 17:00.

Two steep sets of wooden stairs - difficult with heavy cases! Need to let people know beforehand when booking.

This is an old guesthouse with rooms, there is also a modern hotel annex, we booked the old part but paid extra for the new part mainly because there is lift access to the rooms.The food in the restaurant was good as was breakfast. There is ample parking, the hotel is situated in a small village.
