Stausee-Hotel

Great location with view of the lake, spacious and comfortabke room, breakfast was very nice. We also had a very good dinner in the restaurant, food was amazing.

It was a bit loud during the night - party and karaoke.

Room was very nice, food was excellent, staff were friendly and very helpful and easy parking. Lovely location, there is a very nice walk around the Stausee.

Single room is small

Nice breakfast, clean room with a very nice view, good location.

Blinds are not very effective at darkening the room.

We traveled with dogs. We chose the hotel because it has many paths for walking dogs, silence and parking. A pleasant welcome, a bed for the dog and treats awaited us in the room. A really nice gesture. The dinner in the restaurant was at the top level, as was the breakfast, many dishes available, very tasty. The room was clean and very nice.

The breakfast is great, food quality is good, a nice lady at the front desk will prepare your table and drink as well. Really great service. The view is fantastic, it was snowing when I arrived, the snow view is magnificent. Our suite is large and quiet.

the lift is a little bit small, but it is acceptable because only 3 floors.

5 minutes from outlet. good for those who prefer quiet, spacious suites , plenty of free parking and AC. good BF with nice view.staff are amazing and always smiling.i will always book here whenever i plan to shop in outlet city.

The hotel is a little far away from metzingen, about 10~20 minutes by car. The scenery is great outside the hotel, and there are no other buildings nearby. If you want to get to the hotel, you should rent a car as for your convenience.

When I checked in I was expecting an apartment with a view. I was given an apartment overlooking the parking lot. I returned to the desk and requested a room with a view. I was then offered one. I ultimately stayed with the original room because access would have been challenging with my older parents and the room and bathrooms were dated.I would not recommend the restaurant for dinner. We ordered schnitzel and it was tough, flavorless and was accompanied with spaetzle that was not freshly made. It had 'crunchy' pieces from sitting around for too long. We were really disappointed in the food. For the price, it should have been much better.The breakfast was fine, although they didn't have many rolls left when we came down the first morning. When we asked if there were more, we were told no. On the second morning, they brought us our own basket of rolls which was really nice.At checkout, I was told I needed to pay for the room even though I had already paid 2 days earlier online at booking.com. The woman at the desk denied being paid and was quite nasty about it. She didn't apologize when she found the payment. This didn't leave me with a good impression - especially for a hotel that cost almost $300/night.

We booked a total of six rooms. Most of them were great and comfortable, with the exception of one where the roller blind was broken. The location is fantastic, right next to the reservoir. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon check-out, we realised that Booking.com didn't correctly pick up our booking modifications made online, resulting in us paying more than the actual rate. We contacted the hotel, and they promptly issued a refund.

One room is located right at the floor entrance and appears a bit worn, with a broken roller blind (some slats are missing). Consequently, we needed to use eye masks to block out the light.

Excellent location very clean and comfy
