Breakfast was good and very friendly young staff.Rooms were clean.

General outlook of the hotel is quite messy & outdated. Powerline right nexto the hotel. Does not match well the pictures online.Reception was not very friendly, only short information (it was enough but could be much better).In my opinion there are better options for these kind of prices.

Hotel Berghof is located near the Weinstrasse and is set among lovely wine fields and charming villages. There are numerous hikes available. The breakfast was varied (broetchen, muesli, ham, wurst, cooked eggs, marmalades, jogurt, juices, etc). Our room had a lovely view and was very quiet.

Unfortunately the dining facilities were only open between Thursday and Sunday evenings (and we were there on a Wednesday). But the hotel provided this information with our reservation so we were aware. There are many excellent places to eat in the area so one won't go hungry.

The room's interiour isn't strictly modern and the bathroom looks somewhat outdated but it is very comfortable and extremely clean. The reception girl was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is amazing. There's not much one might want which isn't provided at the buffet.In this little village, nestled against the mountain, there is not much to disturb your sleep (apart perhaps from some other guests babbling loudly in the hallway at night).Something that might not mean much to others but is important to me was the quality of the pillow on the bed. Good filling, not too flat and not too hard but utterly comfortable.

The Hotel Berghof is in a quiet rural location near Trifels castle and the B10 autoroute that crosses the Rhineland-Palatinate westwards towards Saarbrucken. There aren't many restaurants nearby but our friendly host recommended two that would be open which were within easy driving distance so the evening meal was not a problem. Our room wasn't large but it was adequate, clean and comfortable, with an ensuite shower room. The breakfast the following morning was excellent with a wide choice of mainly cold options. The hotel has a terrace with great views across the valley. We only stayed the one night but other guests recommended the walking and cycling in the area.

The hotel was excellent in every aspect - friendly staff, good accommodation and excellent breakfast. I could not fault it and could certainly recommend it.

There was nothing to dislike at all.

The location is very quiet, has good rooms, and fantastic view/panorama. Almost all hikes in Pfalz can be done from this hotel. Kitchen is also ok. Swimming pool would make it fantastic

Hotel Berghof is a somewhat outdated hotel (no airconditioning) but the rooms are very clean and the host is super friendly. The bed was excellent and the neighbourhood very quiet so we slept with open windows. There's a panoramic terrace where you can drink and eat at very reasonable prices. The breakfast is outstanding! Very happy to have booked this on our trip from Slovenia back to Belgium. We paid 80€, big breakfast included.. that is incredible value for money!

We booked this believing we could have dinner here in the evenings after sightseeing. Berghof no longer offers this due to staff shortages. Had we known this we wouldn't have come here due to the lack of eating places nearby. We tried the village Wirtshaus but, frankly, the food wasn't good. It's a shame we weren't offered a 'cold plate' as an option as the choice from breakfast was extraordinary. We would have been happy with this, particularly as there was an honesty fridge full of wine. It would slso have been an extra income for the owner.
