Pros +
- Nice staff, hotel is dated and not very comfortable but in a convenient location. The parking was shocking.
- Very close to center.Good beds. Good overall place.
- The Location and parking were easy to find, and the main reception area was welcoming. Staff were helpful, and check-in was straightforward.
Cons -
- Parking is not easy especially if you are a woman
- The lift from the car park was not working, and the stairway was foul and smelt of urine. The room was large and the bed comfortable. However, it was cold because the air conditioner was not producing enough heat to warm the room. TV and hot drinks were available, but only enough tea or coffee for one drink. The bathroom was very cold because the heater wasn't working, and there was mildew on the ceiling and dirty grout.
- Undergoing work in stairs, overall a bit old (carpets, curtain hangers), some mold stains (room 126)Parking lot (public): VERY narrow space, hard to manage turns, so some cars are parked on two slots. Going down further yields space, but with an abandonned/dirty/worrying aspect.

Personnel very kind and helpful. Breakfast OK (vast choice, good). Free parking (but cf. “What didn't you like?” section)

Extremely central yet very accessible by car, with free car park in the building. Very friendly and helpful staff (they called me after checkout to let me know I forgotten a cable in the room.
Building a little run down (exterior); lobby/salon very open and not really inviting to sit
Brilliant location right me to the Christmas market and all the stores and cathedrals.
Stained floors in rooms, eggy smell in hallway, holes in the walls, tv doesn’t work, wall paint peeling, electricity not working.
Central location, 24 hour reception, decent bed and shower. Good value for money
Moldy corridors, very tight parking entry
The staff were very nice, the room was ok
Kick board in the bedroom hanging off the wall, worn carpets and because Im visual impaired I found the room very dark, also a few of lights didn't work.
Definitely recommend. Delightful staff with good English. I gave up speaking French.Nice rooms. Slightly scary pool.Go for an upgraded room, the furniture is period.
location is great, hotel needs urgent renovation, parking is free but very dirty, open door....
all above
Apparently it’s location is quite good
We were a party of 4 couples. One couple arrived one day ahead of the rest of us due to altered return date. We got a message from them saying not to go as it was absolutely awful, particularly the car park which was filthy, smelled of urine, and had a number of ‘characters’ hanging around.
Lovely location in centre of town
Room we got given hadn’t been cleaned. Next room not much better. Everything a bit tired and worn out..
The only good thing to say of this hotel is the location!!
Having read other favourable reviews on this hotel, I can only think that they are either disingenuous or written by friends and family of the hotel.Where to start. The free underground parking. The reason it’s free is because it is a disgusting, dark and pungent cesspit that deserves to be condemned. The place wreaks of urine and there is broken glass on the floor, evidence of smashed car windows. The lift to the ground floor does not work so you are forced to lug your bags up the stinking, graffiti strewn stairwell. On arriving at reception, the staff seem friendly enough, probably delighted that someone is actually staying. On enquiring as to whether the car park was safe, ( a stupid question given what we saw), we were told bluntly that it was not and that we should remove any articles from the car. That would have required additional trips down the stinking stairwell to fetch the other luggage!!My initial instinct was to leave immediately as we were quite concerned about leaving the car in that cave, (garage), overnight, but as we had prepaid, (only option), we thought that we’d better check into the room. An overwhelming smell of urine and mould greeted us as we entered the room. The room, apart from being tired and in a pair state of decor, there was black mould in the bathroom.Suffice to say, we decided to leave, which on exiting the reception and handing over the key and informing the receptionist that we were leaving, she did not ask why or whether there was anything they could do, nothing. I guess they’d been paid and really couldn’t give a damn. I think that this is not the first time this has happened.A shame, because the location of the hotel is very central and I suspect that they get away with mediocrity because of that. If you do not have a car and therefore do not need to park in the cesspit, you might just be able to overlook the terrible room, but there are so many better hotels to choose from, so why would you choose to stay here!!!
Central location Bedding was crisp and clean
Room was very worn, dated and dirty in placesPictures do not reflect the reality Parking was provided however with a roof box it wasn’t suitable. Other reviews state to be cautious of the underground parking.
Close to the city and good to have a kettle.
We didn’t quite understand the parking arrangements so just be aware it’s not the Parking du Theatre. There is a car park belonging to the hotel.
The location was brilliant. The area and the hotel are very quirky. The breakfast room is really nice with shabby chic vibes. Staff were really friendly.
The hotel is in need for renovation. The bathroom in our room needed refurbishment. Also the staircases and carpets need attention. Car park is a little bit dodgy.
Location was very good and I could store my bicycle safely in the large lobby. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious.
In this room there was no toilet facilities so I had to go downstairs with lift to get shared toilets.
Room is okey but so dark ,TV is not functioning, lamp downstair is defect
The rooms [we had two rooms] were good and well appointed. One of our rooms overlooked the street and it was impossible to sleep with the windows open because of the traffic noise. With the windows closed the room was very quiet... but rather warm. Because the airconditioning was not working we could not cool the room. Still, because it was September it was not a major inconvenience. The reception staff were nice... and the lady on the desk when we checked in was really very helpful. The location is SUPERB! And the availability of free parking in the nearby carpark is a real bonus.
Breakfast was very disappointing. Save you money and have breakfast in town.
The old building was stunning
The bathroom was dated and needed a good cleanThe water was just warm and the pool was un maintained
