I was very satisfied with the way the hotel treated us. The room was great, very spacious, with the best view to the sea and the most beautiful beach. Everything was very clean, always clean towels and sheets, room service every day, hotel even provided very nice beach towels. Nice and very comfortable beds. The shower was amazing, with lots of water pressure. Food was delicious, buffet style (breakfast and dinner), offering also traditional Cretan cuisine.

We enjoyed the view from the room over the pool and from the terrace, which was truly wonderful. The accommodation is located in a peaceful and quiet area, where we enjoyed a calm environment with the soothing sounds of cicadas. The rooms were very well maintained, clean, and recently renovated, which left a great impression on us. There is a shower at the pool, which is very convenient.The property offers 24/7 reception with very friendly and welcoming staff. There is also a restaurant serving tasty food at reasonable prices. In the surrounding area, you can find other restaurants and small shops, making it easy to access necessary amenities.Parking was no problem, with plenty of available spots. Access to the sandy beach is via stairs, but it is well-maintained and provides the option to rinse off sand from your feet. The beach has enough space for sunshades, which can be borrowed for free at the reception.We want to thank the management for a pleasant experience and enjoyable stay. This trip brought us unforgettable memories, and we would love to return!

Exceptionally tasty food, super nice and friendly staff, clean rooms, nice inner yard with swimming pool. Each room has a balcony, fridge, and private bathroom. This hotel also has a cozy private beach between cliffs, and at night you see a lot of stars. Swimming in the sea in the end of October is still good. Also, this place is outside of a noisy city so it's very cozy.

May be challenging to get to this place if you don't have a car. One-way transfer from Heraklion airport costs 110€ and there are not really many things to do in the walking distance, so I'd really recommend renting a car.

This is a small treasure. The hotel is immaculately well maintained, very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. The weather in October is mild, not too warm or too windy. Perfect sea temperature. The beach is very clean and natural. Mostly sand. Perfect for families with children. The breakfast on its own could be a reason to book this hotel. We didn’t book for half board, but ended up eating dinner for most of our stay. The dinner is open buffet with quite a few options for salad, soup, main courses, and dessert.

This was not a downside for us. We were looking for a quiet beach vacation and that is what we’ve found. For others it can be too quiet. But if you rent a car, that is also not a problem.

It was definitely the place to have a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The staff were very helpful, informative, and friendly without being intrusive. The ability to adjust the air-conditioning was a boon as the weather was very hot, especially through the night, which is when I used it the most. The room/bathroom was cleaned every day and always smelled fresh.Every room/apartment had a balcony or terrace; in my case a balcony which was just perfect for relaxing in the evening/night.There was no "sunbed monopoly" at the pool.I liked the fact that the hotel believes in protecting the environment, so no fixed parasols on their private beach, just ask reception for a parasol and a beach towel.Buffet style meals; definitely a plus, take as much or as little as you wanted and good choice of meal types. If on B&B basis, you could still book dinner, just inform reception before 4pm, great to have this option.I liked that I could contact the hotel (SMS/Email) to warn of delays etc. Dimitra the duty manager ensured there was someone at reception for my arrival at 1- 2 am.Dimitra should be proud of her staff, they were a credit to the hotel.

Exceptional location with stunning views from the restaurant terrace, pool area and most rooms. Very peaceful and close to a beautiful small beach. Good selection of food for both breakfast and dinner.

Lovely bakery and 2 very good restaurants in addition nearby. Lovely peaceful stay ?Hotel arranged a taxi from the airport and a taxi for evenings out. Lovely little Hotel. Highly recommend for a chilled out family stay or couples break.

Quiet, very clean hotel. Breakfast and dinner are very good. The beach is close by at the bottom of the stairs. It's a natural beach.

Wow, what an incredible stay at Hotel Porto Belissario! This hidden gem in Ferma, Crete absolutely exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt the warm welcome from staff and great hospitality from the hotel, with delicious Cretan special dishes and fantastic pool are by a beautiful panoramic sea view.

I was at this hotel in July of this year, absolutely everything I found here is superlative, from the comfortable conditions to the services and the people who work there. I have traveled to many places, both me and my husband, but what I found here, I did not find anywhere. Everyone makes absolutely every effort to fulfill your every wish and the result is exactly what you asked for. Linen and towels were changed every day, the food was very good and diverse, and everywhere you met people who smiled warmly at you. Thank you very much for everything you have done for us, especially Mrs. Dimitra, an extraordinary woman with a golden soul.

we had a really relaxed week at Porti Belissario! we loved everything. kids adore the swimming pool, the private beach in a few minutes of walk, and homemade food.facilities are very modern, and rooms are comfortable, clean, stylish, and colorful.communication was great, and everyone worked there with their hearts! we felt to be served by people who love their job and place. we had the atmosphere of home.

it's far from the airport, therefore plan on renting a car or getting a transfer. there is not a promenade area, if you like walking, hiking, or jogging, get ready to go somewhere by car. it might be good to get a shelf in the bathroom.

The location of the small hotel is exceptionally beautiful. Guests can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea. The property is small and extremely well-maintained, with cleanliness that is second to none. The rooms match the description provided. The entire area is very quiet. The service is excellent and very caring.**Food and Drink**We booked half-board, and it was satisfactory. There is a small buffet both in the morning and in the evening.**Morning:**There is a selection of oatmeal and various cereals, dried fruits, different types of bread, water and honeydew melon, apples, and oranges. Additionally, there are cookies, small cakes, croissants, English breakfast options, tomatoes, cucumbers, jams, honey, and three types of quark.**Evening:**Often the same fish, then meat, and three other side dishes, as well as a salad buffet and various small desserts, including melon. We also visited the neighboring taverna a few times. Excellent food and a stunning view (Thea - 3 minutes on foot).**Hotel Facilities**Porto Bellissario Hotel also offers massage treatments, which are good (provided by an external vendor). The pool is absolutely adequate.**Do I need a rental car?**Yes, highly recommended.**Beach**There is a very small beach area that can be accessed via stairs. The seawater is wonderful. The beach itself is narrow and small but sufficient. Typical beach vacationers might be disappointed, but this is something to be aware of when traveling in this region of Crete. The loungers by the pool are good and adequate.**Overall**During our stay, there were many families, yet it was quiet and very pleasant. The guests were mainly from Poland, France, Germany, and Switzerland.**Surroundings**Initially, the area above the road between Ierapetra and Ferma doesn't look great.
