Ihthioessa Boutique Hotel

We loved Froso’s amazing hospitality, the delicious breakfast with a stunning view of Astypalaia Chora, and the spacious, comfortable apartment that was perfect for my family. Flexible check-in/out and the peaceful setting made our stay truly exceptional.

The hotel was fantastic in every way! Place looked after and pretty with wonderful views of the port and the Chora. Our room was impeccably clean, and we enjoyed using the terrace before dinner.Our hosts were super! Welcoming in everyway! We were collected from the airport on our arrival, which was great. Last but not least, breakfast was delicious! All freshly prepared and managed by a lovely and helpful lady.Highly recommend...

We were allocated the best room we have ever had in a hotel in Greece. Large, roomy, modern, fantastic shower and bathroom , great beds and a super outdoor area. Great breakfast included too and Frosi, the owner, and her son Agrisis, were exceptionally helpful and motivated.

Everything was perfect

Beautiful rooms, lovely views, fantastic breakfast, lovely people.

Only thing we might suggest is a few more hooks on the walls. But otherwise we cannot think of anything.

A truly amazing room, modern, spacious and beautiful layout. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate us with a minor medical issue that came up during our stay. The view was amazing and the balcony was large with a great jacuzzi to top it off. The breakfast was rich and tasty, including vegetarian and some vegan options. We will definitely return!

The breakfast was very good and served in a great location. We were offered a range of egg dishes which were prepared freshly. This was a nice touch. The room was really well presented with a great view.

A lovely hotel run by very kind people. Mrs Froso always takes trouble to make sure everybody has what they need. Rooms were very well equipped. Breakfast is excellent and her orange cake is out of this world.

Beautiful spacious apartment. Loved the private outdoor plunge pool which made it extra special. Breakfast looking out on the sea was amazing. Great location, supermarket and petrol station at the end of the road. Short walk down to the beach, bars and restaurants.

Good things - Free transfer from the port. Room was beautifully decorated, although small. Great view of the port!

Not so good - A good hike uphill to the main area near the windmills., where everyone congregates on an evening. Even to get the Astypalea shared transport you still have to climb a significant number of stairs, not suitable if you have mobility issues.Breakfast is served between 9-11, on the first day was lovely, however not much choice for vegetatians/vegans. Went after 10 the next day and there was very little left!A word of caution... Do not leave the key inside in the door when you leave, as the lock has to be changed to gain entry. This cost me 60euros. Apparently all the other doors have thumb locks! When the lock was changed it still did not have a thumb lock. Felt harassed and intimidated that I had to pay the full amount. Not a great impression of this island and the people, such a shame.

Potentially the best hotel in Astypalaia. Great room, very bright, quiet, spacious & clean. Concierge & all the staff were amazing. The breakfast was delicious with local products and homemade pies.
