    Pros +

    • The room was facing the opposite hotel and huge air conditioning unit. Very noisy
    • Great location and private parking
    • Tapioca at breakfast was great. Staff was generally nice and helpful but had a sense they were beaten down by all the complaints.

    Cons -

    • The room was smelly and most appliances could not be used unless it was paid.
    • The hotel is in serious need of refurbishment. The corridors smell of damp and the first room we were given had mold on the walls and ceiling. The smell was very strong and the rooms are poorly ventilated with windows facing a wall and no bathroom window. Finally we asked to change rooms and we were told we could pay for a different category as no other rooms available. We were not asked about the problem and why we wanted to change rooms. We understand the hotel is aware of the issues due to multiple complaints but they still choose to give out the moldy damp dark rooms. Repairs have started in some floors but not sure if this will make a difference. The new room did not smell of mold but was still not comfortable for the rate we had to pay. Food is also not good, facilities also need updating, not enough sun umbrellas for all tables and guests. AC units leaking water in the rooms and restaurant on top of the buffet. Overall this was a very disappointing stay and would not stay here again nor recommend it.
    • The beach was not reachable. Nothing the hotel can do anything about, but a heads up before arrival would have been nice so we would have been less disappointed.

    Breakfast, the hospitality and crew

The bed was a bit rough and the bathroom had some limescale but other than that everything was amazing

The pool and beach was amazing

The room was disgusting ? we found cockroaches every day in our room! Old decoration.

Breakfast was great, so much choice. Upgraded to a better room. Pools were fabulous. Staff were very helpful and accommodating

Hotel may need a bit of a refurb but during these times it may be cost prohibitve

Location was great to access beach and restaurants. Water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. Breakfast was plentiful with great omelettes.

Hotel in bad need of updates. Smell in hallways and bedrooms is wet. Rooms are basic, and our air conditioner didn't work, or wasn't adjustable. Hot water was hit or more. Gym was rusted out with hardly functional equipment.

    Recreational activities for kids

I strongly do not recommend even in the west case cenário.Check in was but once it is done comes all the bad surprises.1. This hotel is no way a 5 star standards2. Roons are old3. Shower out of other and water is law warm4. Cleaning service has no standards5. Ameties placed in the bathroom only for one person set up whereas we have been three people. I had to call 5 times and only at 5° time having been rude they attended my needs.6. Buffet dinner is disgusting and food quality the worst I have ever seeing. Very slow and inefficient service but that is not a problem from waiters once there was two guys to do almost everything thing. NOT VALUE FOR MONEY.7. Breakfast disgusting as dinner, low standards, crumbled eggs was disgusting looked like vomit and had not taste at all, Juices very artificial and impossible to drink. In an all I could only eat some fruit and try to drink a coffee that for well nowned Brazil standards it was disgusting , even the cheapest bar round the corner would offer such a thing.8. The only ones to be satisfied are the kids because they only want to play and at least there are some entertainment to them. The team look very well after the kids at least and they come back happy.9. Personal chose people to whom they are going to speak or offer something and not for my surprise like in the co-partner Pontal Mar Hotel, they only talk to white people. That is a really disgusting behavior in my opinion, principally because I have experienced real 5 star superior hotel and have never felt welcomed in any of those places. We also do not have to leave our room to order anything or arguing about any issues.10. On arrival not questions about our travel to the hotel or if it was easy to be found.

    Great Location and cleaning

Need more light/illumination near stairs, pools and way to the beach. The “a la cart” food could offer more food based on cost we pay.

The wifi and the halls in need of touch ups
