Hotel Goldener Karpfen

Kind hosts, great restaurant with excellent meals.

Our room, facing the busy street, was very loud all night. Ask for a room on the other side of the building.

First of all: we took an upgrade to be sure of a quiet room and so they put us in the Wilder Mann on the other side of the street (same owners). Good room, not far from the old town and the river 5' away. Excellent breakfast buffet. Restaurant and bar downstairs.

Actually, my reservation was upgraded by the company to the other hotel that they own, "Wildermann" just at the other side of the street. Thanks a lot!

The hotel bar is closing quite early.

Everything was super. Rich breakfast, large and clean room, easy location. We were for two nithgs only, but despite this they changed our sheets.

On arrival, I was offered an upgrade to a better room )) Good location near the city center, maybe 10 min. walk. Parking available at the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Good breakfast.

Walking distance to the main attractions and lots of restaurants.

Right in front of a very busy, and thus noisy, street. A no-go on warm evenings as opening the windows for cooling will also let all the noise in.Overall tacky atmosphere.WiFi signal in the room was too low to be usable.

The lights were a little dim and the lift didn't work.

I didn't understand why at 9:30 someone were knocking on my door insistantly. When I opened there was a guy asking me if I need an extra towel ? I think would be better without that visit, but it didn't ruin my good impression of the hotel anyway.

No fridge In room which I think is a a basic...also no full length mirror and the fan was ok but needed to be bigger a desk fan just didn't do it

Location is good for us, as we broke our long drive to the Czech Republic. Restaurant is very good indeed. Excellent food and wonderfully attentive waiters.Oh ... don't forget to buy some of the beers they make there. 6 bottles for €8.

One of the pillows was a bit "musty"Apart from that ... everything and everyone was fine.

Had to book in over the road in the other hotel. Having to pay 7 euros to parking car in car park

I liked the availability of a parking lot. The breakfast was quite good, The room was ok. The location was for me not easy to find, because the bridge nearby was closed, so I had to take another route.

We actually stayed at their sister hotel The Wilder Mann. We arrived earlier than expected and they upgraded us to room that was already available at the Wilder Mann. It was our last night in Germany and it was perfect............the staff, the room and the breakfast.
