Hotel Zum Goldenen Ochsen am Schlossgarten

Nice and quiet hotel with bonus car parking. Great front desk staff.

Exceptionally clean room with a very comfortable firm bed with wonderful crisp sheets and fluffy down comforters. Convenient to train station and to the Altstadt. Very nice staff who kindly made us dinner reservations at Weingut Kitz, a lovely little nearby restaurant.

The ground floor room we requested did include a couple of steps up which may be difficult for some with mobility limitations.

Staff was very helpful and friendly! Room was nice, clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Friendly and. Helpful staff. Very old building is charming. Rooms are pretty modern facilities.

Nice shower, comfy bed and great breakfast with lots of delicious and healthy vegan options. The staff was very helpful when we needed to set the temp for the air conditioning and giving us directions for sight seeing.

Wish our schedule allowed us to stay longer!

Nice location. Unique older building with some charm. The staff was very helpful even with our “American” requests of things like ice.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Comfortable rooms, great location- near town, train station, castle

Lots of stairs

Lovely location to the river - a 5 minute walk. Lots of green space outside. The room had AC, and the staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating.

We were given a different/smaller room to what we had booked. However the hotel staff were very kind and sought ways to compensate us for the error.

Our a/c didn’t work, so they graciously moved us to another room.

Rooms were very clean, breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect.

Nothing!

Very nice bathroom and super clean. Staff was good. The breakfast is wonderful and worth every penny. Our hostess even offered to make us cappuccinos.

There is no elevator and we had to carry our luggage up the stairs.

Staff were amazingly friendly and really good decor.

Pillows were not like Irish/UK style.

Extraordinary nice staff, very good breakfast, clean rooms, calm, great location near station and city center (but in a very safe environment). I was there for business, but I think the hotel is also very good for staying some days to relax and to visit Aschaffenburg city and parks.

Great location, super friendly staff

Parking was limited

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. You are walking distance to everything.

FANTASTIC FAMILY RUN HOTEL.FRIENDLY STAFF. COMFORTABLE SPACIOUS ROOM WITH GOOD ENSUITE FACILITES. BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD VALUE AND HIGH QUALITY. CLOSE TO TRAIN STATION. GREAT LOCATION TO CASTLE ON OLD PART OF TOWN.

NO LIFT

The location is excellent, literally a 4 min walk to Schloss Johannisburg and old town, and only a few minutes from train station as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. I could check in early, because my room was ready, and leave my suitcase after check out for a few hours. Breakfast was excellent. So much to choose from, and all really delicious. Also a good range of vegan options. Room was very comfortable and quiet, even though it’s near a busy road. Bed and pillows also were comfortable.

In the city centre and very cosy and clean hotel with very friendly staff.

No elevator, could have more comfy chairs on terrace
