Excellent location, classy older hotel that’s elegant and also has a little bit of a “ski chalet” vibe. Staff were top-notch and very nice. Will stay here again if we return to Chambéry.

Loved the hotel, it was very cute and well located. Breakfast was excellent! The staff very friendly and helpful.

Tiny elevator-beware!

Staff were fabulous - clear explanations to parking, helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions for a quiet Monday night. Excellent location for exploring old town area.

As to be expected with really old buildings, it is tight and somewhat awkward. Small stairs up to room corridor after arriving at our designated floor could be tricky for some guests with luggage.

Room was very small. Looks much smaller than the photos. Too hot at night but too noisy with windows open. AC won’t go below 23 Celsius.

4th floor room is under the roof and doesn't have much light (but we didn't care).

The location is perfect, the breakfast is small but varied and fresh, we loved it. The rooms are renovated and functional, but ours gave onto the back and was extremely noisy in the very early morning.

A small issue with used socks (!) on the bed, linen promptly changed, the noise in the morning.

Beautifully decorated rooms, really helpful staff, an area when you can get free tea and coffee and a great location.

What a lovely and refreshing stay our family had here! The staff is very kind and accommodating and the rooms were very comfortable. We stayed in the family room for 3 nights, it was really fun because there were bunk beds and situated a bit away from the other guest rooms so you don't have to worry about being loud. The rooms fully darken and there was air conditioning. Coffee/tea is offered all day. They have a comprehensive breakfast option for €16 for adults, kids eat free(July 2025)with hot and cold options as well as fresh fruit. It was an 8 minute walk from the bus, train station, car rentalplace and central to anywhere in town you would want to go to. The city is safe. You step out of the hotel and see the elephant statue, the photo is what it looks like when you step out and look to the left. We usually use bookings for apartment rentals. And we had just come from a few. But it really felt great to be in an actual hotel where people want to help you and you know it will be a clean place. We were there long enough that we interacted with every front desk person and everyone was nice. Lots of affordable restaurant options within walking distance.

The Hotel des Princes felt like a newly renovated hotel in an older building, modern convenience. The room was spotless, bed and linen very comfortable. They had a secure storage area for our bicycles. Lots of restaurants outside the hotel door. Wonderful breakfast, very accommodating staff. Great value, I would recommend and return!

Should have chosen a room that did not have slanting roof.Air conditioning did not seem to be working.Space for hanging clothes very tight.

This hotel is very well located for the historic centre of Chambéry and has a very interesting history. It is just over 10 minutes walk from the railway station. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Despite its central location the hotel is in a quiet area and there are a good selection of eateries within a short distance.

The room was compact but it is a historic building. A very minor negative point.

Top location in the city center. The only downside was the parking garage a few meters away with no lift working but the hotel can’t be held responsible. Lot of bars, cafes and restaurants around the hotel.
