Campanile NATURE - Aix Les Bains

I had a reservation for tonight, and when i arrived to check in at 23.30 reception was closed. There was a number to call for guests with reservation, and nobody answer, go to a voice mail. After several attempts i decided to book another hotel at midnight. I hadn t received any message/call with instructions to get a room key or informing about reception is not open 24/24 as they mention on the hotel entrance. Horrible experience to not repeat again.

From the moment I arrived, I felt like I made the right choice. The place is exceptional – clean, well-organized, and clearly cared for with attention to detail.The room was air-conditioned, and unlike many other places, the AC actually worked really well, which made a big difference during warm days.The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere that made my stay even better.One of the best things was the parking – right in front of the room, safe and super convenient. As a biker, I appreciated that more than anything.The area was peaceful and quiet at night, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed.I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, especially to bikers. If you're looking for a calm, clean, and comfortable stay, this is the place to be.

too many bugs and they do little to nothing about it, I ask once if they could put a spray or something for the bugs problem and nothing changed after they guaranteed they were gonna do something about it. The room has very low light even after turning on every light in the room. I can hear everything my neighbor does and say

The room was a good size and the kind bed was very comfortable. The location is beautiful and easy to access. The staff were very friendly and spoke both French and English to us. They were helpful and accommodating. We were able to login to netflix which was helpful for our 3 year old. There is a restaurant that serves nice food and parking was sufficient. The breakfast was also lovely.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room for drinks etc.

I like the triple rooms there - for myself, husband and adult son. But wish they had such a room on ground floor as I am partially disabled and have to get up one flight of stairs. However, it is such a lovely setting for a campanile right next to the golf course that we just love going there.

They don't seem to do evening meals these days - used to in years past. However we found a splendid "fish" restaurant a couple of miles away which we now like to go to.

It’s very straightforward to check in and a nice place to stay. The bar/eating area is nice and it’s really close to the main road, so great for travel. Parking was right outside.

we have stayed here many times, the staff have always been friendly and helpful. The hotel has recently been refurbished. Reception and the rooms have been modernised and redecorated, a great improvement.

Poor information. We travel with 3 dogs and Campanile is 'pet friendly'. We messaged the property when booking regarding our time of arrival and that we have 3 dogs. The responses were positive stating that the time of arrival was ok and that 10 Euros would be charged per animal. I called a few hours before we arrived to ask for a ground-level room (practical if you have dogs) and the manager, Christine, exclaimed 'We would NEVER accept 3 dogs. One dog, yes. Never 3'. After a lengthy discussion, Christine conceded and said that she would inspect the room when we left and that any damages blah. blah,. bla... The receptionist apologized and said the room was very tidy after we checked out.

We stay every year on our way to the Alps, it’s the perfect stop over & has just been renovated so even better this year. Super clean, lovely helpful staff.

We don’t eat there, so I can’t comment on the food.

They didn’t change the towel or make the bed everyday. We needed to ask new towels

In good surroundings

The ground floor room with parking outside the door. The lovely gardens and terrace next to the golf course.

Although it allows pets, I had trouble getting food as I was travelling solo with my dog. Leaving him alone while I went to the restaurant wasn’t an option. I asked if I could eat outside on the terrace and I was told ‘no it was company policy’. The next morning however when asked if I’d had a pleasant stay, I had to mention again that it had been very difficult not being able to get any food because of the dog. The receptionist was very kind and got me some complimentary croissants that I could eat on the terrace. Perhaps if I had learned some French and been able to communicate better I might have been allowed to eat something on the terrace the night before, or had the option to take some food to my room. I do think it’s an issue that needs to be addressed. For a single solo female with a dog on a long journey from the UK to Italy, one of the reasons I chose Campanile was in part because of the convenience of the restaurant. I appreciate they have a no dog rule in the restaurant but it wasn’t stated online, and I wasn’t offered an alternative. Ibis hotels have allowed me to take my dog to the restaurant.

A little out of town.

It was an overnight stay. It offers rooms for 3 without a bunk bed. Convenient location, clean and spacious room.

Normal continental breakfast, well presented, with great selection of food items, especially nuts, seeds to add to cereals. Dining room spacious, and comfortable, and visually appealing.

Very easy to find, set back from the main road so noise not a problem but still easy to see the sign with parking right outside the rooms which can be important with a motorbike, helps prevent theft. The room was a good size with an extremely confortable bed and the food was great for a small hotel, the man serving and managing the restaurant was also very helpful and friendly.I wasn't expecting anything special from this hotel but the bed was very comfortable indeed, some thought had been put into it. The bathroom had been newly refreshed and was spotless and clean and the shower worked really well, important feature that's often overlooked.The restaurant, which I thought would be very basic, was actually very good and the food was fresh and delicious and served quickly. Overall and really good experience, better than I was expecting. Congratulations for easily beating the Ibis hotels I stayed at, I'll look out for more Campanile hotels in the future.

The only window in the room was a skylight but it did provide sufficient light, not really a problem - everything else was good so struggling to find something negative.
