Pros +
- Good location near the city centre, enough parking, nice and fancily decorated hotel. Room was rather large, comfy bed and shower, ... Breakfast was plenty and high quality, the staff really friendly (especially being in France). Premium hotel for sure.
- Elegant, well decorated and maintained old building. Our room had a nice view of trees and the museum next door. Reception staff were very young and very friendly. The room and communal spaces in the hotel were immaculately clean.
- The reception staff was very helpful and pleasant.
Cons -
- For some reason, the door to the hallway lacks decent sound insulation: people can be heard talking in the hallway. It didn't bother at all, but it stands out since the rest was almost perfect.
- The sound proofing of the room was below an expected standard, our neighbours could be heard going to the bathroom at night, for example. The sound of their TV / radio was audible in our room. A quiet night’s sleep is a bare minimum requirement from a hotel. There is currently a major construction project opposite the hotel, this will generate noise and already obstructs views of the mountains beyond the lake.
- Our room was sterile and disappointing. It had no character, cheap furnishings, and there were no drapes or blinds on the window. Even though the hotel was not full, there was only one small parking space available; all of the rest were taken. From the outside, it appeared charming, but our room was a major disappointment.

Very nice hotel, in the style of a traditional hotel of medium size. Clean and room was decent size with a view overlooking the hotel garden and a cathedral. It was lovely to sit in the garden in the evening with a glass of wine and read for a while. The hotel has parking, though we arrived by train but worth knowing.
The hotel is within walking distance of the SNCF train station, though it is a lot of uphill walking for 10 to 15 mins, depending on how fast you walk and how much weight you are pulling in your suitcase. But without the luggage, it is close to the main city square and walk street.
Staff was very friendly. Electric charging on site, great.
Nostalgic hotel, room furniture could have some uplifting!
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great location
We couldn’t get a table at the restaurant after a long drive
Quiet place with shades on the windows, large comfortable rooms, parking lot.
The hotel is slightly away from the centre but only a short walk down the hill to local restaurants and shops. The garden isn't as large as it looks in photos, but is a pleasant place for coffee or an evening drink, and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. We left a couple of jackets in the closet and they phoned us very soon after we left to let us know. The Musée Faure right next door has a great art collection, including a world-class set of Rodin sculptures.
The room was a little constrained, and the double bed was quite small.
Excellent quiet location close to the city center, a vast garden and many activities nearby including a great thermal station. We had a lot of fun in Aix les bains
We had a great time, nothing to report. Perhaps a vending machine to be able to populate the mini fridge that was in our room would have been handy.
I was there for 1 night as a stopover on the way to Italy, it was a nice hotel that's surrounded by cramped streets, we didn't have the time for a good look around.
hotel could do with some updating but our room was OK.
Everything worked and was clean, good family room, helpful staff, good food
Quite hard to get to, could use an extractor fan in the bathroom ( but neither of these things detracted in any way from a good stay)
Very professional and efficient reception people speaking English! We had a suite and it was very confortable.
Property is much better than the reviews suggest. Sure it is not 5 star but the rooms are large, breakfast more than adequate, staff especially the cleaning staff are excellent and plenty of parking
Great location, great view, helpful staff, electronic charging for my car
A very nice hotel in Aix-les-Bains, close to everything, a very pretty building too.
Good room and a lovely garden.
Just disappointing that the dogs weren't welcome in the restaurant. We just travelled through Italy, and they're welcome in most restaurants, even fine dining.
Good location a few minutes from city center. Very nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful stuff.

Good location near centre, very comfortable superior room, spacious with excellent bathroom, air conditioning and quiet garden view. Staff very helpful and multilingual. Excellent buffet breakfast.
Clean, centrally located, unit had A/C, parking
Well maintained location, offered a family room. Great breakfast selection and very friendly people working at the hotel. Late arrival on short notice was flawlessly organised and they started the car charger automatically in the morning - great service!Hotel itself is in an older building, well maintained with attention to detail. Rooms and furniture are not the most modern, but it absolutely met our expectations.
