Hotel Rio Muralto

Perfect location to explore the town and surroundings, parking available but not free. Great stuff, very friendly and helpful.

Location is very convenient for access to the train station and bus. The hotel is right across the street. Our room and the bathroom were good sized. The manager was extremely helpful, friendly and engaging. He helped us with our day trip plans and had good suggestions for local attractions. One of the big assets of this hotel is his knowledge and skill in multiple languages. Very personable and engaging with the guests.

The hotel's location is a main road so the drawback is nearly continuous traffic noise. However, we were given a room on the back of the hotel that was relatively quiet.

Excellent location, near the lake, near Lido di Locarno, near railway station.

Very close to railway station and convenient. Room is bright, spacious and comfortable with high ceiling. Breakfast is good.

Super close to the train station but so quiet and a very easy walk to the lake or middle of town.

Although our room was on a busy road and right opposite the main railway station it was exceptionally quiet when the doors were closed.

The room could have been a bit bigger

Excellent location, just next to the train station (but the noise levels are totally fine). The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again.

Location, clean, renovated

Needs more decoration is blend and park place is extra $ and not close to the hotel but at least you have one

Location and building was lovely. Rooms were clean and quiet.

Some renovations were ongoing, but it wasn’t a real issue. I wanted to open a window for fresh air before bed, but due to the renovation timing, I was unable to do this.

We had a very good stay. Perfect position for our trip with "treno del foliage". Closeto the station and right in the center.

The hotel location was very convenient for the train station and buses. Sharon and Giacomo were super welcoming and helpful with advice on things to do in and around Locarno. The hotel was warm, dry, quiet and clean. The room was large and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a good selection of food for the buffet breakfast. We were lent a power adaptor which was appreciated.

The shower cubicle is a little small but has a large large rain showerhead. This produces a broad downpour of water which encompasses most of the cubicle. While this is nice, it also means you have to press yourself against the walls of the shower if you dont want a lot of water going in your eyes.

The location was excellent, right next to the train station, about 5 to 10min walk to the town centre/Piazza Grande and Lake Maggiore. The service was excellent. The hotel staff was warm, friendly and helpful.The room was comfortable and clean, with air-conditioning. The room and toilet were spacious. The room was very quiet, away from the main street. The breakfast was fine. The toilet at the lobby was very clean.

There was no kettle in the room, although it's not a big problem.

Excellent hotel in a freshly renovated historical building. Ideal location close to center and lake. Very nice breakfast with tasty sausages and cheeses, and free coffee any time. The rooms are light, clean, with alive flowers! And the service is brilliant.

Very friendly staff that made the effort to speak in French with us. Very large room and conformable bed. Perfect location next to the train station and good value option for the film festival.

The window curtains let a fair bit of light through. The toilets are with partial walls and therefore not really private.

We needed an accessible room. The shower is not wheelchair friendly at all. It's not wheelchair accessible, it's not wheelchair accessible and there's no seat and grab bar.
