Maison du Lac Boutique Hôtel

A very decent view of the lake, an incredible balcony, a cosy bed and endlessly delicious bread for breakfast, thank you very much, we liked the hotel and the staff!

The hotel could validate the parking in the garage across the street.

Like to see the lake from room but too much traffic between hotel and lake.

too much traffic between hotel and lake. As a vegetarian no choice for breakfast except fruit and bread. No banana even. No fountain to drink water except buy plastic bottle water and create more plastic garbage. Nobody in the night at the reception. I do not recommend anybody to stay

Great location and very friendly staff. hotel was very clean. Lovely views over the lake, especially at breakfast watching the sunrise over the mountains. The hotel is closing for the winter undergoing renovations in rooms and extending the restaurant.

Great location by the lake. All very clean, bright. Once the renovation is complete it will be even better.

The position on the lake and proximity to town.

Fittings were a bit old and tired. Clean though.

The access to the water was quick (a minute away) and you are very close to the CGN (a boat company) that takes you on trips to Yvoire and other places around Lake Geneva. I had a lakefront view with a small balcony and it was amazing. The bathroom was beautiful with a giant tub that was very deep. This came in handy when I was tired after a long day of walking or sightseeing. A local at one of the shops in Nyon told me staying here or in other smaller towns near Genève you get to see more of traditional Swiss life. It’s very easy by train/bus/boat to visit other towns, like Coppet, Yvoire, or access Geneva. In my opinion, staying in Nyon is much prettier than staying in Geneva.

The only thing to note, is that the hotel is at the bottom of a little hill. So descending and climbing this with luggage may be tricky if you physically impaired in anyway. There is a car park across from the hotel with an elevator that I used when I was checking out with all my luggage. For the price, the bed was a tad lumpy, which I was surprised about. And turn down service came at odd times, and seemed unable to come back if you needed just five minutes to get out of the room.

Great position, my room overlooked the lake, plenty of places to eat in the area.

It only serves breakfast and then has a sort of self service area for snacks. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance though.

Everything was good. Beautiful location. Clean. Staff was nice. Basic but quality breakfast.

Electric sockets were not easily accessible from the bed. It’s a frustration I have with many hotels. Otherwise, nothing bad to say.

There was an overwhelming smell of bacon throughout the hotel in the morning- very stuffy as if the ventilation was not working it made us want to leave the hotel earlier than we might have

We stayed in the superior suite and it was out of this world incredible.

We stupidly left the balcony door open while we sat out and lots of flying insects came in. The staff at the hotel were so helpful, understanding and accommodating. Absolutely 10/10 ?

The hotel doesn't have any parking spaces. Public parking garage costs 28 CHF per day.

Unfortunately no parking place belongs to the hotel, just nearby one pay-garage. The room needs some painting. The minibar fridge not worked.
