Boutique Hotel Schlossberg

Room was poorly heated and also poorly lighted. It lacked prpper storage for clothes.

We had to bring the suitcases ourselves to the room.

The breakfast was very nice, good food, and good quality food.

Better instructions for clients arriving in their own car. Instructions on the ability to drive up to the entrance drop luggage and then go to the parking garage.

Close to parking garage elevator to the castle. Right in the historic old town and original castle. The staff was terrific helpful pleasant. The food was outstanding. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. The sauna spa was as clean and comfortable as I have ever seen.

Beautiful hotel! My room had a view of the grounds and lake, which were lovely. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was outstanding.

No option for late checkout considering we had a toddler. Was willing to pay for it.

Absolutely incredible location, as close as you can be to staying in a castle. Friendly staff that were happy to accommodate our late arrival and early departure. Really clean facilities.

They could have been a little more accommodating when we wanted to have our drink inside. Instead we had to sit outside in the cold

It’s a castle!! Then, I LOVE the quality of the contents of the rooms. The faucets, sheets, makeup mirror, drawers, espresso machine… even the elevator… all high quality. This very much adds to the experience. I don’t mind paying more for many nice things. Thank you. Everything is so clean. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk man(Yanic?) and our breakfast waiter were exceptional! They were warm, friendly, very attentive and helpful. Keep them. ?

My husband said the pillow was too thin. Maybe a third pillow would be helpful? The room was too warm and a little stuffy. A fan would also be very nice to have.

I usually don’t write reviews for hotels, but this experience truly deserves recognition. Yannick went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, he was exceptionally warm, kind, and friendly—so much so that it felt like he already knew us. His hospitality made us feel instantly at home.What stood out most was his patience and attentiveness. I had many questions throughout our stay, and he always responded with a smile and clear, thoughtful explanations. His professionalism and kindness made a real difference.I also want to mention how welcoming the owner was. I had previously stayed here last year without my mother, and the staff were already very friendly and accommodating. However, during this recent visit—with my mother, who wears a hijab—I was genuinely touched to find that they were even more welcoming and respectful. I had some initial concerns that we might feel out of place, but instead, we were treated with the utmost kindness and warmth. It was a beautiful and reassuring experience that made us feel truly seen and respected.I’m very grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a welcoming and thoughtful environment.

We stayed in the guard tower room, which is a bit different from most of the rooms in the hotel. It's right above the castle gate, with windows on 3 sides, but since the walls are 70cm thick and made of stone, it's very well insulated from noise. The conveniences/electrical system were slightly constrained by the fact that we were surrounded by thick stone, but they nonethless did a great job of making a beautiful, comfortable, and engagingly quirky room. Breakfast was also exceptional, with some of the best bread and pastry I've had in Switzerland.

Amazing location in a castle with the view of the town. Great breakfast, attentive staff who made us sandwiches for the early morning departure. Great dinner at the restaurant. This is my second time here and I loved it again!

Hotel is located in a castle with a great view. Room is comfortable and good for one night. Breakfast was very good. The guy that did our check in was very kind and helpful!!

It was not easy to get to the hotel, since the information about where to get the lift up to the castle were not clear enough. We spent a lot of time trying to find the way. The staff attending the breakfast was rude and with no patient. Speaking in English with the lady was not easy and she was not friendly at all. Later on we tried to have lunch at the hotel terrace and the waiter was so ill-willed that we gave up.

This is my first time reviewing a booking because I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Schlossberg! I was unsure about the shuttle service and was arriving late, so I emailed the hotel. The hotel staff replied to my emails promptly with details. Despite the "building" being a real old castle, the room facilities are much more modern than the rest of the hotels I stayed in Switzerland. And the castle itself is stunning! I enjoyed the museum and the view from the top of the castle. If you're going to Interlaken, I strongly recommend that you stay here cuz it is also very easy to make a day trip between Thun and Interlaken.

1) The hotel paid for the shuttle (AATaxi) from/to Tun train station.2) Breakfast is better than expected.3) The bed is comfortable.4) Staff and services are accommodating.5) Great location and beautiful view.
