Central City Hotel Rochat

Location is central, staff, staff very friendly, facility very clean

The hotel location is great. Just step outside and you can explore the city. Good connections (tram, busses) to go anywhere in the city. The room was clean and maintained every day. Friendly and helpful staff.

You can here people from other rooms and their footsteps, also from the corridor. The receptionist gave me wrong bus route to the airport which almost made me miss my flight. The bus went to the wrong direction. Luckily the friendly people of Basel helped me to navigate to the airport in time. Other than the honest mistake, the personnel was friendly and helpful.

Could not find location of hotel upon arrival. Instructions were not clear, too general. Room location involved long walk and some stairs while carrying suitcase.

Location and helpful staff

The extra steps up and down to our rooms where we had to carry our bags and the elevator didn't help. A challenge for my 78 year old travel buddy.

The attention to detail was amazing. Complimentary tea and coffee and water station. The beds were very comfortable and the place was very clean. Highly recommend.

The hotel was recently rennovated. It had the charm of a smaller hotel with the bonus of quite large rooms with very modern decor. They retained the very old window frames and hardware which was a nice touch. The staff is small but exceedingly friendly and helpful. The location is terrific with very short walks to many restuarants and the town square. The addition of the Basel Card was an extra bonus.

Not a hotel for the handicapped. No way to tooms without a short flight of stairs. Otherwise no drawbacks.

As we arrived my spouse was unexpectedly ill. The staff were exceptionally supportive and helpful.

Comfortable rooms

Elevators and stairs a bit challenging but cant be helped in an old building

Staff was fabulous. Our upgraded room was one of the nicest we have had. Breakfast was great. Location worked for us close to old town and Viking docks. Everything was clean. Loved water in the lobby. Lobby was nicely artistic.

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Large room. Good breakfast at additional cost though.

Air conditioner worked great but i believe it was on a preset so when it was off in the late night/early morning it got warm in room.

Excellent location, wonderful staff, comfortable rooms with feather pillows, very quiet and relaxing. Enjoyable courtyard garden.

The old building was very nice and room was auper clean the facilties were great.Loved the feeling and was able to get to city center very easily and quickly.

We got upgraded to duplex (so had upstairs beds. Bathroom shower really nice. Breakfast and coffee/tea machine is nice and location is easy to walk around.

The hotel is located on a quiet street within 3 or 4 blocks of the old historic district and the Rhine river. The room was clean and modern, with great air conditioning and a wide range of TV channels, in many languages. The breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of food.
