Hyperion Hotel Basel

The Hyperion was easy to access with 3 tram stations very close. This made it easy to get to other parts of the city is just a few minutes. The Hyperion was modern, very clean and the staff was very helpful.

The location and association with Uniworld.

The lobby was cold and uninviting.

Check out was horrific! Only 2 attendants trying to service long lines, conduct currency exchanges...it was a mess. I waited 20 minutes in line just to be told to get in another line for check out. Ridiculous.

Helpful staff. Provided me with transit card and directions to airport. Breakfast was delicious with a wide assortment of food.

Bed lacked a bed sheet. It only had a comforter. Sometimes I sleep with just a bed sheet when comforters are too warm.

Roll the dice on parking, I say.

Parking was 40 CHF... I parked on the street and ended up missing judging the time and had to pay a 40 CHF parking ticket, so what's the advantage to pay for parking? You might as well roll the dice.

Nothing about the inside not worth the money as a influencer my instagram ernest.mua i have almost 1M followers i couldn’t do any content becuase the rooms were so bad and poor looking i paid the half of the price i paid to u guys to five hotel Zurich and everything was literally breathtaking starting from the minibar and all other stuff i was very disappointed !

Beautiful room with a fantastic view of the city. It was my birthday during our stay and the team left me a beautiful note and a lovely dessert platter. Very spoilt.

Modern, clean and comfortable! Close to restaurants and public transportation!

Comfy beds and clean facilities

I booked the hotel because of the breakfast, only to find that the breakfast wasn’t included in the price. The breakfast was going to be an extra 39 francs per person.

Our location was perfect! It was convenient to hop on the train to get anywhere you wanted to go. The Hotel provided us with 2 tickets that were good for our stay to hop on/off as many times as we wanted. This was a great perk.

Breakfast was ok. We certainly found foods we liked but nothing was outstanding or very unique or special.

The suite was really nice, lots of room, incredible view over France and parts of Germany!

There were spider webs in between the cracks of the high windows other than that it was very clean.The staff was quite rude and even though I booked 10 months in advance and had emailed/called ahead of time multiple times, not all of my guests were placed on the same floor as I was (although it had been confirmed on multiple occasions). My vendors (photographer, videographer, hair and makeup artists) as well as a few of my guests were all not treated in the way I expect them to be treated in such a well established hotel. I emailed the hotel on Monday and followed up yesterday because I wanted to let them know how we felt about our trip and for them to send me the invoice (I was charged on Monday (a day after our checkout!) for something I still do not know what it is as of today). They have not responded which is why I went ahead and wrote up this honest review.

Location excellent. Hotel clean and comfortable.

Breakfast could be improved. Scrambled eggs were like water - way too loose. Bacon undercooked and very greasy.

Staff and proximity to trams and trains

You cannot get a cup of coffee in the morning outside of the machine in your room with walking down the street a few blocks. Pillows were weak in the room

Need a little direction on how the lighting system works. Could use some drawer space or few more hooks

My 2nd time there; very happy again.The room featured a mini fridge with complimentary refreshments, tea and coffee making facilities, and a practical and spacious walk-in shower.The hotel is ideally located next to the Basel exhibition centre, with numerous options for shopping, dining, and drinks within walking distance.Tram lines stop right in front of the hotel, and with the complimentary BaselCard provided at check-in, guests are entitled to unlimited free use of public transportation throughout the city.

The room was equipped solely with blackout curtains, which effectively block all incoming light. However, it lacked standard sheer curtains that would allow natural daylight to enter while still maintaining privacy. Such curtains are particularly useful during daytime hours, as they soften the light and prevent visibility into the room from outside.Parking spaces in the hotel's private lot are very limited. A practical alternative is to drive around the park and use the public multi-storey car park located directly opposite the hotel, which charges CHF 40 per day.

The room was perfect, the beddings were comfortable and clean. Free minibar was a nice added touch to the whole experience. Extremely good air conditioning for a hot summer like this week. And the blinds and curtains helped with the sunshine. Highly recommended.

Not a big deal, but could have received Basel Card a day or 2 earlier either by email since it is non refundable booking so I could save on a transport between train station to the hotel.

Hotel is well located, comfortable room and excellent breakfast.

To the Hotel Manager,I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally report the loss of my microphone, a Hollyland Lark brand, which I believe was left inside my hotel room (522) during my recent stay at your establishment from 16-21 of June. I did contact the front desk informing it. Despite my efforts to locate the microphone, I have been unable to find it. I kindly request your assistance in this matter and would appreciate any information regarding its recovery. We had a corner room with a great view. Nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Clean beddings. Mr Eckert at the reception was very helpful in giving us highlights of what to see in Basel and 2 great restaurants recommendations.

The view from the higher floors. Well designed bathroom. Good bed. Security is very good.

Pillows are skinny. Only two options : skinny or hard. Neither is comfortable. Not much space to hang clothes.
