- Beautiful lobby and bar. Great bathroom.
- We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Les Trois Rois. Our room had several windows with a beautiful view of the Rhine River, which made the experience even more special. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel is beautiful and full of history, and the changing flower arrangements at the entrance were a lovely surprise, offering a different visual experience each day.The bar was outstanding, with a live pianist and a fantastic repertoire, creating a truly elegant atmosphere.Despite being one of the oldest hotels in Europe, the comfort and technology are exceptional — heated bathroom floors, automatic curtains, and even a TV that can be controlled from the bathtub. An extremely pleasant, elegant and unforgettable stay. Highly recommended.

Absolutely outstanding hotel fully deserving its 5 start rating. Bar and brasserie are incredible and there seemed to be more staff than guests. Old-school charm rather than modernist...lots of wood paneling rather than glass and metal adds to the character. Breakfast is one of the best Ive had in Switzerland...but at 50CHF it has to be. You need to be a little careful as it is very easy to spend serious amounts of money in the hotel on top of your room cost.....but you get what you pay for. Perhaps for a special occasion rather than a standard business trip. By far the best hotel in Basel.
Bed could have been a little softer and you do hear the trams if you are on the city-side of the building
Breakfast was good, but the window facing the main street is a disaster extremely noisy.
To inform any customer before booking that room 311 is extremely noisy and all other rooms facing the main street too.
The ambience, the staff, the welcoming from start to finish and our concierge, Lina was exceptional.
It was 100 percent supberb.
Historical and very beautiful hotel with truly 5 stars service. The Restaurant Cheval Blanc is exceptional and we have a lovely evening. The location is great and near the Mittlere Brücke.
It was a perfect stay - the room was spacious, the view was beautiful, the personnel was very kind. The food in the restaurant Cheval Blanc (3 Micheline stars) in the hotel was extraordinary, absolutely amazing. The bar and the brasserie were also fantastic.
The staff was really courteous and generous with all amenities, the room had a regal look about it, and the breakfast had a lavish spread. All in all, it was remarkable!
Could've exempt charging for car parking.
1st class old luxury in modern world wit grand setting on the river
Felt there brasserie was overpriced and living on reputation
Hotel is beautiful, staff so friendly & helpful. Room stylish and spacious. Afternoon tea was delicious & so were the toiletries.
Unable to stream Netflix or connect anything on the TV and no movies to buy, which was a shame. Plus most UK channels only worked during the day, for some reason.
Outstanding location on the Rhine and close to the city centre, lovely room, great brasserie and bar and excellent breakfasts. The staff could not have been more charming or helpful.
As in many hotels, we found the duvets became excessively warm during the night.
the door man was exceptional his name is Alan I appreciate his manners and delightful conversations
the view on the Rhinne river and breakfast buffets
Great location, nice rooms, delicious breakfast
Would expect a hotel of this level and especially the hotel's flower shop to either make sure an ordered flower arrangement would leave with the guest we've booked the room for and if not at least informing us about the gift being left in the room so anyone would have been able to pick up the expensive box of roses.
The location and the atmosphere, the dinner and breakfast - beautiful quality and very nice staff
The furniture in our draw room was uncomfortable
Location, decor and the rooms
The two hotel restaurants were super expensive, only tried the brasserie though. I wouldn’t recommend for families as menu is upmarket. But the Italian next door was good value and tasty food.
Amazingly unique hotel with historical architecture, contemporary comfort, and excellent service. The people, the service were exemplary. I am extremely happy that I chose and stayed in this beautiful location.
Great place to visit Basel. Amazing staff, superb quality, but you should expect this level at the price you pay! Very good rooms, really great. Highly recommended, the Brasserie for dinner as well!
Very very difficult question! Nothing?
The Staff are amazing and will do everything humanly possible t make everyone’s stay amazing. The food and drink is absolutely amazing.
The property is fantastic but it was undergoing work so was a bit challenging for my husband who is in a wheelchair getting n and out. At one point the lift from the sort of service entrance that we had to use closed badly on his knee.
Everything. Location is perfect. Room overlooking the Rhine was fabulous (and entertaining as the gondola races were happening). This hotel has every convenience technology could provide, but it is old Europe elegance and service.
It will be very difficult to stay at any other hotel after staying here.
