Good Location

Light switch broken, Ac broken, Duvet stained, hallways blocked due to construction

The Hotel is located near to the Basel SBB train Station which was important as we had a very early morning flight and had to catch an early bus to the airport. The room was larger than I expected.

The room was a bit dark.

Good value, clean, friendly reception.

The mattress is not acceptable. Hostel level quality. Its a shame because everything else was great.

Location was good. If you can find it

The sign: City Hotel was tiny. The Hotel had another name which was in huge letters. As a result, we drove around 15 minutes looking for it when it was right in front of us. Anoying. TV non functional. Internet did not work either. Just awful experience

Awesome location, very clean, comfortable rooms.

Moved us to junior suite (quite expensive) for first night because webooked for double occupancy but brought our child along.My own fault for not letting them know ahead of time.Last 3 nights moved back to lower priced room, with extra bed surcharge

Room was too warm with no way to lower the temperature unless a window was opened.

Location was perfect for my overnight stay. . 3 minute walk to the train station. Food court market nearby.

Hotel close to train station and a Starbucks. Great start point for our stay.

No elevator for room 531 on the 3rd floor and had to carry suitcases up the stairs myself. Bath towels are barley larger than a hand towel and the whole place is a maze.

Very convenient location beside main train station, main tram station and bus to airport. Rooms were very nice, with big sizes. Bed was very comfortable.

Its a bit confusing maze of 2 or 3 connected hotels sharing reception sometimes.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and ideally located, offering all necessary facilities. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed a perfect weekend in Basel.

Perfect location, 2 mins walk from train station, superb connection to all areas of Basel via trams/buses. Very spacious room, perfectly clean. Being able to leave suitcases both before we checked in and after we check out, was very convenient for our long weekend stay in Basel. A wonderful view of the breakfast room and nice breakfast overall (good selection of both savoury choices and fresh fruit). Hotel provides on check in Basel cards which give you free unlimited public transportation and 50% of discounts of all major attractions - very helpful in this charming but pricey town.

City Inn, Metropol and Euler hotels are all connected in a maze-like corridors. Metropol and City Inn share a reception, so once you do the check in on the hotel Metropol reception - to get to your room, you walk though the maze-like passages though the hotels, to get to elevator that takes you to the City Inn rooms. It works ok, and it's well labeled, but it just feels like being sent to the "third-class"/ servants area. Our room had no view - looked into inner corridor/walls. Also a fair warning, to enter into the hotel, there are about 10 outside stairs - not so easy if you have a bigger/heavier suitcase.

Friendly and helpful staff. Near central station, super close to bus stop to the airport (bus 50).

poor soundproof, you can literally hear everything from the street/hall way, even with the window properly closed.

Long and narrow corridors, tiny elevator, very difficult to move with luggage and find a way around!Luck of supplies, like soap.
