Hostel by Hyve Basel

It was clean, well located and the staff was absolutely fantastic. Most interestingly, every hotel in Basel provides its guest with free transportation vouchers on all public transportation during their entire stay. We loved the Y and Basel!

Location is very close to the Basel SBB. The capsule design was nice and provided much better privacy compared to dorms.

The door lock to enter the pass code was not very comfy. Inside the capsule gets a bit warm and a better ventilation is required.

Excellent location, near the main train station. Friendly staff, with fully automatized check-in. Clean installations, big and nice furnished kitchen. Environmento to mingle nice and clean.

The stair to the top bed in the shared room is narrow, can be difficult to go up, there was not an option during check-in to choose another bed if a top one was not the best option

Amazingly clean. The best hostel I’ve stayed at outside of Japan. Had all the facilities you could ever want and was in a great location.

As with all capsule hostels it was really quite hot even in the winter, I really recommend bringing a small usb fan if you overheat like me.

Central location, exceptionally clean, incredibly friendly staff , who provided helpful advice on sightseeing, advising on things to do and the breakfast they provided in the morning is the best I had during my European vacations .which were fit for a Royal family . Especially would like to say thanks to Ukrainian employee by the name Anna who took up her personal time arranging free transportation for the duration of stay

Very good location, walking distance to most places and i felt incredibly safe with the people on the room, everything was clean and getting in order constantly as well so i would go back if needed and i recommend it :)

I didn't get to interact with anyone from the staff because the access was autonomous but besides that, everything was good.

The staff was extremely friendly, and the common room was clean and beautiful. It encouraged people to have interactions and play board games together.

I barely slept that night. One person was snoring extremely loudly, another was sick and kept coughing, and a third was talking loudly in his sleep. Of course, this isn’t something the hostel can control, but I was extremely unlucky with my roommates.

Everything. The fact that the bathrooms and showers are outside is a big plus. Very clean. Very comfortable, great location.

Nothing. Maybe a less expensive breakfast.

This was my second time staying here. It is a wonderful, wonderful hostel. Not only because everything is nice, but also because it is a very happy place. The owner’s smile brights up my day, reading the sticky notes in the kitchen just makes me feel life is good. I will always stay here when I stay in Basel.

Smooth stay and everything is very well explained. I haven’t had the chance to meet with the staff but I was in contact via messages with them and they always answered to all my questions very quickly.

All was good but I think the private room should have its own bathroom, it felt a little weird booking a room for my own and sharing the shower and bathroom. It wasn’t bad though, just something to think about.

Even tough the human staff was nice and helpful, the whatsapp chatbot did not really understand my questions and provided no help at all. After it told me it would connect me to a human agent, nothing happened.Minor complaints: Online check-in form is definitely one of the worst ones I've encountered.Usb ports at my bunk were dead
