Clean, central, very modern. Access to the gym next door is a huge plus.

Extremely loud on the weekend. One side of the hotel faces the street with bars, the other side is just across the street from a club. This is the only downside of a very central hotel.

The breakfast had good variety and quality. The location was central and easy to reach.

The bed pillows had been too soft.

The layout of the room and bathroom and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. Breakfast on the 6th floor restaurant balcony and the quality and selection of food available.

Unfortunately there was construction noise from an adjacent building that meant we were not able to use our room balcony during the day. However hopefully this was a temporary situation and did not deter our enjoyment of staying at the Art House too much.

The property is in a fantastic location. Easy walking distance to the river and main train station. Trams are also just a short walk. The location is central with lots of options for food and cafes etc The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We wanted to take our children to France and Germany in the same day and one of the female members of staff suggested we visit Colmar - about an hour on the train, it was such a fantastic day trip.The breakfast is also very good

It can get very loud - we had two rooms on level 2, rooms 23 and 24. Room 24 is on the street side and at night it is extremely loud due to all the bars and restaurants downstairs. Unfortunately on the other side, we had construction starting very early and no view. Looks like this will be ongoing for a while. Not a big deal as we didn’t spend much time in the rooms, however as it’s summer we wanted fresh air (no air con in new buildings in Basel) so wanted the windows open..Also the cleaner left quite a few things uncleaned. Dirty cutlery and cups were put back In the cupboard rather than taken for washing

The location is in a very central area, the room was large and comfortable.

It was very noisy; and you could hear people from the bars downstairs all night and straight into the morning.

There was a delay during my check-in due to staff absence at the front desk, but they upgraded me to a suite, which was a nice gesture. The room was very spacious, with modern amenities, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff was also very polite and helpful.

The location is fantastic for sightseeing but not ideal for business travel. It’s a pedestrian-only street, making it difficult to order an Uber. The area was also quite noisy, and with a football match happening that weekend, it was nearly impossible to navigate through the crowds.

Central location meant bars/restaurants outside, and lots of noise on a Friday night (hotel provided ear plugs for rooms at the front - ask for room at back if want quiet)

SORRY BUT I REGREAT I BOOKED THIS HOTEL 3 NIGHTS I COULD NOT SLEEP ONE SINGLE NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE INCREDIBLE NOOISE OF THE STREET . I KNEW this HOTEL WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF CLUBS, BARS and restaurants BUT THEY SAID THEY HAD ISOLATION WINDOWS...SORRY THEY ABSOLUTLY DIDNT WORK.

First OF all: THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE HOTEL FOR WHAT THEY OFFER (700 euros for 3 nights) ON MY FIRST NIGHT ON THE 3TH FLOOR I HAD TO CALL THE RECEPTION AT 1am BECOUSE I COULD NO SLEEP OF THE NOOISE (IT WAS SO SO SO HARD) those 'ISOLATION WINDOWS' DONT OFFER absolutly no ISOLATION ..they said: sorry we only can OFFER another room on the 4th floor at the other side of the street but you will hear 'some nooise'. Okey , I took the other room WICHT WAS EVEN WOORSE because there was a CLUB WITH hard MUSIC TILL 3 am. so I COULD NO SLEEP TILL 3 AM ...and so every si singel night. I really want my money and look for another hotel but OF course they dont give the money back Then you have THE SAME BREAKFAST EVERY DAY AND NOT REALLY BIG VARIATY . for a 4 stars hotels I WAS SO DESAPOINTED ...plus THE PILLOWS ARE SO UNCOMFORTABLE ... I REALLY REGREAT A TOOK THIS HOTEL. NEXT TIME I WILL READ very GOOD THE REVIUEWS . SO IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP AND HAVE A REASTING NIGHT PLAESE DONT TAKE THIS HOTEL

Great location for Basel Old Town. Excellent staff, a free upgrade to a really large room, good breakfast. Perfect for a short stay.

A stylish and comfortable hotel in a central location. Rooms are spacious, stylish and have everything you need. Very comfortable bed, good shower and even a free minibar (mainly soft drinks). Buffet breakfast was exceptional and served in the rooftop bar, which is a great place for a cocktail too. I stayed during the week and it was quiet, although I can imagine at weekends the bars on the street would be loud.

The only thing that could be an issue, and I did not know of when booking, is the lack of air con as per local environmental legislation. The room in early March felt a bit warm and stuffy and I would prefer a colder room to sleep in. I imagine the room could be baking hot in the summer!

The most wonderful stay! The room was perfect, the bed so comfortable and the free mini bar a real treat! Delicious breakfast and so nice to have the rooftop terrace for eatingvin the sun and enjoying cocktails at night. Staff couldn't have been warmer. Thank you!

Staff at the hotel were most helpful. Unfortunately when booking this hotel I expected it to be in the airport or at least adjacent and did not expect to have to take a taxi

When arrived was told that the restaurant was closed. I had looked up the hotel website the previous day and website advised that the hotel has a restaurant. The website needs to be updated

Comfortaböe room & facilities and good value for money exept breakfast wich was poor and expensive for what they offer.A big minus for the TV offering. Only German speaking channels.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The location was incredibly convenient, just a short distance from both the airport and Basel’s Old Town, making it ideal for a short stay. The comfort and cleanliness of the rooms were top-notch, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my visit.One of the standout features was the hotel's proximity to everything. It made exploring the city so easy and stress-free. An added bonus was receiving the Basel Card, which gave free access to public transport and discounts on attractions such as museums and the zoo, a fantastic perk that added real value to the stay.I also really appreciated the high-quality coffee machine in the lobby, a small touch that made a big difference!Overall, this hotel is a perfect choice if you're visiting Basel and want to be close to both the airport and the city's main attractions. I look forward to staying there again one day. Highly recommended.

In booking.com it says the hotel have parking. In fact, we were directed to a public parking' expensive and at a distance.

Very clean, and well organised, the staff super nice and helpful. The room was better and bigger then in picture, overall very comfortable
