Hotel clean; room well appointed and comfortable. Hotel is very well located - near Old Town and zRhine River.

Great location. Spacious quiet rooms with very comfortable beds. Very nice breakfast which was perfect for Christmas morning as many places were closed. Very helpful staff.

Excellent location and the staff were friendly , professional and helpful. The breakfast was really good and the women staff hustled to keep food and coffee available for the many guests that came down.

The heat didn’t work but it did in the bathroom so we were able to remain comfortable by leaving the bathroom door open. It was also a tight fit when opening the bathroom door as the bed was right there. I didn’t find the bed comfortable but it was fine for my husband.

Room very spacious. Short walk to the old town area & Christmas markets. Breakfast nice with lots of choices.

It's a clean and comfortable hotel in the Old town district. I could walk just about anywhere I wanted and if not the Tram is easy to catch close to the Hotel

All the light switches were confusing and the lamp mood lighting was a little dim. Also the temperature control. It would be great to have a guide.

Location was good, staff friendly enough and its great value for money.

The breakfast was pretty weak.

Staff was attentive and helpful. Loved that we got free public transit cards and deals on local things. Bed was really comfy!

Good location; wonderful bakery for breakfast nearby and close to bridge for walking and shopping.

A cute little hotel within walking distance to all the markets! A fantastic breakfast was served each morning. The staff were wonderful.

Our door would not lock so we needed to change rooms after the first night!

Not the biggest room, but nice one

We thought it was close to the docks that Viking uses. Viking moved the boat. But Hotel D was on the tram line, near a laundry place, and had great breakfasts ( additional). It was walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Basel. Staff was great!

Nothing….but it was the most expensive accommodation for us while in Switzerland.

Restaurant/bar in lobby, friendly, efficient staff.

Handicapped accessible room was small.

Room was clean and efficient. For staying the one night before a cruise, it worked out great. Restaurants were nearby and it was easy to get a taxi to go to the river cruise we were taking.

Parking as in any many European cities is a few blocks away.

My husband and I have stayed at this property before as he sometimes travel to Basel for work. It is in a convenient location and everything is more or less a tram away and walkable. This time around I stayed with my mom and it was perfect as we needed to just stay somewhere we could relax as it was last lag of our trip.

Clean, well-appointed room with plenty of storage. Bed was comfortable, linens were nice. The large veranda with its lovely view of the surrounding area and river was a wonderful treat. Fresh flowers was a nice touch. Breakfast had a large variety of food and was very good. Coffee was excellent.

Since there are normally two people, a second luggage rack would be appreciated. Didn't care for the see through doors in the bathroom. Having a better area for the coffee maker would be good.

Location was extremely close to Rhine River, shops and cafes. Clean and updated rooms.

Breakfast was not included. Construction all around the block.

We had a very nice stay at Hotel D in Basel. The bed was very comfortable in an ample size room. The breakfast was excellent.

Would be nice to have a coffee area without full breakfast.
