Lovely property with an old-world style in a green and natural setting. The restaurant was superb. We were on a cycle tour and enjoyed the stay.

Friendly, especially the delightful lady who serve your breakfast.The perfect location for visiting Freiburg. A pleasant walk into town, or a short, direct tram ride. Fantastic location if you like walking in the Black forest. Easy parking outside of the hotel.

No Airco in the room, but opening the windows in the evening was OK to cool down.

The hotel is in Günterstal, a lovely little neighborhood at the southeast edge of Freiburg with good public transport connections to downtown. The hotel is closed on Thursdays, our arrival day, but we received very good instructions about key retrieval and parking. Our room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The floor in our room was not carpeted, as we prefer.

We absolutely loved our stay. The place was perfect for us and our two dogs. The proximity to the tram was awesome and Günterstal is such a romantic valley. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The restaurant is also fantastic!

It was a little difficult to find parking but not impossible.

Good location, really clean and staff really helpful

A little pricy. The extra bed in the room was separated by a curtain but you had to go through that space to go to the bathroom, we were not aware of that.

The food was delicious and the people who worked there were really nice. I liked that the tram was right there for convenience.

No one on site to talk to, e.g. receptionist No lift, lots of stairs to lift the luggage up. We knew about this in advance and didn't mind, but mat be a problem for disabled/elderly guests.Not the hotels fault but worth noting - no taxis or uber drivers would accept a job to take us from the hotel into the city, despite it being only around a 10 minute journey. We managed to get a taxi back from the city one night, but it was difficultl, because the taxi driver had no clue where the hotel was or how to get there, despite us giving him a full written address and showing him on Google maps. No one seemed to know where this place was!

Everything! The staff was amazing and so accommodating. It was nice being able to eat at the restaurant (delicious!) and walk upstairs to bed.The breakfast attendant was very friendly, competent and went out of her way to make sure everyone was happy.

The reason I booked this hotel was because it had been so highly recommended for its food - which didn't disappoint. Both dinner and breakfast were superb. Although it's a bit outside the city centre, it's easy and fun to hop on the tram to get to the city. We felt the tram enhanced the experience.

Our room was ok, but our kids complained that the traffic was a little noisy.

Breakfast was amazing, also the host was very friendly . She helped us with extra towels and water and also made custom breakfast for us

Felt a bit warm in room. Also there was no Iron, hair dryer.

The staff were nice, the room was OK, maybe a bit old fashioned.

The owner was not so helpful, we made, I made a mistake on booking the rooms, one room was for thursday friday, but the other was for friday saturday, it was my mistake, but there was no opportunity to change, or get a refund. She offered an alternative pension to rent about 1k away, I rang them but it went to message but they didn't get back to me. It was my mistake so I had to sleep one night on the bathroom floor. So this was my mistake. The hotel was quite away out of the city centre, also, there were repairs to a bridge, so the tram couldn't get through, so we had to go by tram and bus, but it was relatively easy to sort out, with help from locals.

Nice breakfast, though we would have appreciated a buffet breakfast.

We missed an inside lounge area, since we were four friends who would have liked to sit together and talk and play games after dinner.Our room was too warm, the air conditioning was not working very well.

Very friendly people, great breakfast, excellent level of service, spotless clean. Very good experience and we would recommend it!

The breakfasts were excellent as was the service in the restaurant.

The room was small and had only basic facilities. There was no luggage rack for luggage and our cases had to lay on the floor for our entire stay.

Room was fine and although it was out of the centre it was perfect for a walk in the black forest.

For the centre it was a short bus journey.

Traditional small German hotel with exceptional staff and a fantastic included breakfast. The room was clean and functional. Lovely lady serving a generous breakfast. A friendly waiter carried our suitcase. A good spot on the edge of Freiburg with parking, yet walkable to the city and the forest.
