B&B Hotel Freiburg-Süd

The receptionist was polite.

Unfortunately, our stay at B&B Hotel Freiburg-Süd was very disappointing.The most serious issues were the lack of hot water (both at the sink and in the shower) and insufficient heating in the room. The only heating option was air conditioning, which was not able to properly warm the room. These are basic and essential services that should be guaranteed in any accommodation.I would like to mention that the receptionist was polite and tried to help us by offering an alternative room. However, after checking the second room, we found the same problems there as well, so there was no real solution available.Additionally, there were hygiene and maintenance issues, such as mold in the bathroom, damaged beds with peeled edges, and a dirty carpet in several areas.My wife is pregnant, which made the lack of hot water and proper heating especially concerning.Overall, this stay did not meet basic accommodation standards, and I would not recommend this hotel unless these issues are properly addressed.

The staff was very friendly

The beds are small and the pillow is soft. It could be a bit better

On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was nice, and the location is perfect and very convenient.

The room was very disappointing. The carpet was dirty and had a strong, unpleasant smell that seemed to spread throughout the entire room. Overall, the room smelled bad and did not feel clean or fresh. The facilities are very outdated and appear to have seen their best days a long time ago.

Kind personnel and a good breakfast. Position not too bad. Very good mattress

Pillows are terrible and shower and hair dryer were just tepid (I was at the 4th floor) and now in winter after an entire day of cold I'd really would like to take a super hot shower and hair dryer

Easy to get to although it is a long way out of town. The rooms are comfortable and simple. Excellent value for money too!

It was clean and comfortable

The room was a little small. Check in was a little hectic. It’s pretty far from the center but the tram station is very close.

It was easy to find and park. Comfortable and clean And well located for our needs

Real fast and parking were both chargeable extras

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and it was enjoyable. The room was a reasonable size. The breakfast was very good. It was at the terminus of the tram line so the ride into the centre of Freiburg and the Christmas markets was very easy (about 20 minutes). It was very good value. Parking was available.

The room is big and clean

It's a little far from downtown

Everything as advertised. Bed is comfortable, room service and cleaning daily. Safe area, next to tram and bus main stop, just 10-15 min to city center. A big shopping mall located next street.

There is no fridge or any amenities in the room. A kettle would be good to have some coffee or tea.

Not so maintained furniture

This hotel could be good but the dirty is a dissapointed

It wasn't even clean. Dirty carpet, dried white fluids on the side of the bed and the shower wall. Hair in the sink area. Dust on the curtains and carpet

Given the location somehow far from center price not cheap. But we were travelling in Summer season so prices might have been higher than expected because of that

Handy location if visiting Triberg waterfall or the Black Forest with free parking and friendly staff at desk.

Rooms are tiny - no place to open up suitcases if going with a family of 4 - not too bad but felt the squeeze.

Good bed nice shower. Decent continental breakfast.

No facilities to make tea or coffee.

The hotel is located close to a beautiful lake. Inside the hotel, it was clean and quiet.

A bit of a trek into town, but it's 2 mintes from the end of a tram line, so access to the centre is easy!

Staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was also excellent. Quiet surroundings right at the end of the tram line.

I just thought the breakfast was a bit pricey, but then again everything possible was available and you can have all you want. A fridge in the room would have been handy, but not a big deal.

No tea coffee facilities in room but staff provided hot water at reception. No phone in room to ring reception but reception sorted all issues I had
