Hotel am Rathaus

The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had on our 2-week trip. The location was excellent you could walk to attractions and shopping.

The garage is in a pedestrian zone. There was not details provided in advance of how to get to the garage and how to get in. The garage is around the corner from hotel. The hotel has to buzz you into the garage. Ask for details in advance.

The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. Not like a typical European firm bed. They had a very nice bar. Breakfast was very good

Excellent hotel right in the center of the city and a walking distance away from the train station. The room felt very cozy. The breakfast was excellent.

Location was very central, right in middle of town and about 10 min walk to train station. Was surprised at how large the room was - double bed plus nook with desk and sofa. No frills but very clean and bathroom was modern.

Only suggestion is to put in a mini fridge so folks can use for drinks, food etc...

Very modern, clean, comfortable, very nice decor, friendly and helpful staff. Cannot beat the location - minutes to many restaurants, the train station, Feierling Brauhaus and it's beautiful beer garden, minutes to the start of the trail up to the lookout. Very classy hotel. Very nice bathroom - loved the shower. Everything exactly as it appears in the photos. Worth every Euro.

The rooms on the back side face the heating and air conditioning units of all the other buildings in that block, but it's the price you pay for staying in the smallest and least expensive room in the hotel.The nice surprise was the balcony (4th floor) - nice touch!

Unpleasant experience

We are from the United States.We drove a car to this hotel. Neither Google maps or Waze apps could accurately give directions to this hotel.Unfortunately, we had forgotten that parking wasn't at the hotel. When we arrived, we called the hotel to find the exact hotel location. Google Maps was no help.The hotel phone was busy. So we kept driving around for another ten minutes, still unable to locate the hotel.We called again and reached the hotel reception. He said he had other customers when we called the first time. By now, we're very upset and aggravated that we don't know where the hotel is located and what our parking options are.Admittedly, I wasn't pleasant to the receptionist. He was trying to help us find the parking garage we could use since Google Maps was no help. The receptionist gave us the garage name, but as mentioned Google Maps wasn't useful. The receptionist stayed on the line while we drove around looking for the parking. Had we known the parking garage was past the big bank, we would have saved a lot of time. This issue could have been avoided if a map to the parking garage had been provided with the check-in instructions or emailed since the hotel parking garage was full and wasn't an option.After we checked in and I calmed down, I apologized to the receptionist. (In case I'm not clear, I never used foul language or screamed, I just talked a little heatedly.)We would not book this hotel again with booking.com or the hotel directly. We do not recommend this hotel if you are arriving via car.

Room was very comfortable. Great location. Reception staff very friendly. Delicious breakfast!

One of the workers in the kitchen told us that breakfast was over pretty aggressively even though it was supposed to be open for 10 more minutes and we were just finishing our meal.

It was absolutely perfect stay at Rathaus. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable by all means. Location right in the heart of city. Staff were very polite and friendly, especially a nice receptionist, who made sure to have a brief conversation with me every morning before breakfast. I felt very welcomed . Breakfast was super tasty. Room was big and clean. 10 points for extra comfortable bed and big screen TV.There was construction work going on right under my window but I didn't hear anything. Almost like living in completely sound proof room. Highly recommend this hotel .

Very quiet eventhough the hotel is situated in the city centre. Well decorated, clean, functional . Nice bathroom. Very cosy and comfortable.

Took us 90 minutes to find, stopping many times and asking many locals, who couldn’t direct us, even when we showed them the map. We’re sure we will give road fines.
