Lovely location and easy to park. We were warmly welcomed by a member of the staff, and we appreciated the tour of the property before entering our room. Great honesty bar and breakfast. The spa was also fantastic.

Beautiful setting, comfy rooms, nice sauna, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Appreciated staff accompanying us to our room as part of check-in and tour of the hotel.

The hotel was wonderful, friendly staff and absolute impeccable cleanliness. Modern and minimalistic rooms with no televisions which I loved because you get to unwind after a day of activities in nature. The balcony was a great addition to that because the hotel is located directly on a stream and you can hear and see the water running. Breakfast was elborate with many fresh products to choose from and on request you could get freshly made eggs/omelettes, pancakes or coffee from the chef. Also the location of the hotel was ideal, Freiburg was only a 10 minute drive for diner and shopping and within a half hour you are deep in the black forest for activities and trails.

Just some minor inconvenieces. The opening hours of the spa were a bit brief, so by the time we arrived back in the hotel the spa was already closed which was unfortunate. Also I missed a proper bin in the room, there was only a tiny bin in the bathroom but not a bin to dispose empty waterbottles for example.

It’s clean!

Unfortunately, our stay was not as pleasant as we had hoped. The heating in our room was defective and made loud noises throughout the night, which kept us from sleeping for several hours. Although we were eventually offered a different room, the full night was still charged – despite the very uncomfortable situation. We would have appreciated more understanding and goodwill from the hotel management.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast

We liked everything, and the hotel met our expectations, but it is also notably more expensive than other hotels in similar class and location.

Pretty much everything: the decoration, the breakfast (loved the chemex coffee), the friendly and helpful staff, the location and the common areas where one could read, play a board game or simply have a drink or tea.

Nothing. Some minor feedback though: the room furniture was too minimalist for us; it would be possible to keep it minimalist but with a bit more useful furniture. The “honesty bar” was great but I personally missed some digestive drinks like local schnapps. As mentioned: details.

Excellent stay super kind and friendly staff, extra clean room very nice. Breakfast is excellent. Everything is brand new and neat. We’d love to come back soon

No coffee in the room.

It's well renovated and offers a fantastic breakfast with great coffee. The rooms are spacious and nice.

There are no coffee facilities in the room. There is a machine in the central hall, but except breakfast, it costs €3 to get a coffee. To me, that is not corresponding to the class the hotels aspires to be.

As many reviewers said breakfast is really good. Staff and location are also nice.

Everything is super Breakfast is fantastic. It consists from two different parts. One you take yourself from a wonderful buffet-table. Another part you order from the menu. It is unforgettable!

The breakfast was amazing! The best in years and I travel a lot! (Every week) Our family room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The view on the river made us relax. What I liked most was the staff. A super friendly team, passionate about what they do. The service was beyond! When we left the hotel we forgot the duvet and sheets of our baby daughter. They washed it and then sent it to our home address in Holland. Incredible!!

Very well located to visit Freiburg and to go hiking or cycling in the area. Amazing breakfast, friendly staff and relaxing sauna area.

A lovely little hotel in the Glottertal wine valley. The staff is nice, very service-minded and friendly. We got a great big room with jacuzzi, great privacy and lovely view to the valley and the mountains. The restaurant was also lovely with greatly made local food and breakfast was excellent ?
