Resort Palmeiras Dourado

It was a very relaxing stay at this hotel. I would give the service and the staff an 11/10 if I could, as they made us feel really welcome. They were sensitive to our comfort and went out of their way to support us. I also enjoyed the general ambience of the premises, the vibe of the restaurant and my walks around the neighborhood. A very wholesome South Goa experience!I will definitely come back to stay there.

Very friendly family run hotel, with fabulous gardens. Pool was a bonus if travelling with children. Short taxi ride from the airport so really convenient for a late arriving flight. Breakfast included and was enough to keep us going for most of the day. Velsao beach is A1a 10 minute walk away through palm trees - what a beach! Utterly empty of people, so peaceful. Dinner can be served here too - which was really tasty.

Not many other places to eat in the area,and can't believe there isn't more development here of tourist hotels as the beach is fabulous.

We very much enjoyed how well the staff took care of us and made sure we had a great time. The whole stay was comfortable and many of the staff members accommodated us, wether by planning external activities for us, arranging transport, providing special food or extra pool access ! They also took the time to talk with us and introduce the local culture. A big big thanks to the manager Sunil who made this stay extra comfortable, and to Remy in the kitchen ! We recommend this resort for anyone who is looking for a cozy atmosphere in a very peaceful area.

Breakfast was excellent. Everyday there was something different. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sunil is great host to take care of all your requests in timely manner. Restaurant staff was good and food was good.

My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet served at the hotel. It included a good mix of Indian and continental dishes including boiled eggs/ egg burgi, omelette, sausages, French fries, cornflakes, bread, butter, jam, Puri with potato bhaji, poha, 3 different fruits, milk, tea, coffee, I would have loved couple of more veg dishes since my husband is a vegetarian. But overall It was fresh and delicious. Sunil the manager of the hotel was very helpful, he went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Not just once but four to five times where he exceeded our expectations. We are very happy and plan to visit again.

There was nothing I didn’t like except one time when I ordered Chicken Cafreal which didn’t taste that great. I was however told after that the original chef was on leave. We also ordered for mushroom dish and Korean chicken wings and both the dishes were delicious.

We loved it being close to the beach. We loved the beautiful landscaping. We loved the great food at the restaurant.

It is a little far from the center of Goa, but we were happy to just relax and hang out here.

We only stayed here for one night as we had an early flight from the airport and wanted to be close. Room is nice and clean. Pool area and restaurant are nicely done. It´s a nice oasis in the „green“ with palm trees etc.

The property is only 5 minutes walking from the beach. It has a lovely garden, perfect for relaxing and a pool to cool down.

Staff was very helpful when ever we needed assistance in clarifying our queries.Nice and quiet place with homely atmosphere . Breakfast selection is good and limited but we loved what was available.Value for money.Will need taxi to travel around and staff is more than happy to arranging it or they give details for us to arrange directly.Away from busy north Goa and they have very quiet and clean beaches with in 1 Km walking distance.

The food was outstanding. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.The pool was really good.

The property is beautiful.. we arrived late at night but even in the dark it was well lit and I could see the gardens were stunning. In the morning we walked through the gardens to get to breakfast and I was so impressed with the range of plants and trees. The pool was very inviting, especially in the heat! Our room was perfect for us both, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I had an uninterrupted sleep which was very much appreciated after a long day travelling. The staff were approachable, accommodating and lovely to speak with. We especially enjoyed our chats with Anita, Sunil and Raja. Had we known how wonderful this place was, we would have absolutely booked to stay longer. If we return to Goa we will be returning - but for longer!

Fraudulent behavior of the main manager. His behavior will make you feel uncomfortable throughout the entire accommodation.

We stayed here for a night because it’s close to the airport - if only we had known how beautiful it was, we would have booked for a few nights. The Resort is absolutely beautiful. The staff were attentive and the food was delicious.

We booked a budget room for 1 night to catch a flight from GOI airport. What a amazing resort with wonderful garden, it was a pleasant stay, very clean room and sheets, superb fantastic bed, very clean pool, friendly staff made me feel like home. As per the standard check out is 11am but being very kind and understanding manner they helped me late but no extra charge. Which saved my energy and money. We wish to come back again soon. The only positive aspect was the green location, that too only if you have a vehicle to drive around.

Stayed for a night in the budget double room, but the experience was highly disappointing. The room was extremely small. Nothing like what it looks in reference pictures.The property felt shady, and instead of accepting or apologising for the lack of amenities, the manager repeatedly emphasised that we had booked a budget room whenever we requested basic amenities. The room lacked a fan, had poor ventilation, and was filled with cigarette smoke despite being advertised as non-smoking. The rooms and property was poorly maintained.The washroom fittings were subpar, and the bed linen was not clean. We booked this place by reading the reviews, but the reviews not seems managed.Additionally, the manager suggested canceling on Booking.com and paying directly at a lower rate, which we declined. Later, we discovered that they falsely marked our reservation as a no-show, though we had a receipt to prove our stay. Overall, a very poor experience—would not recommend.

The resort was great and had everything we needed! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was super clean and all the time we get hot water for shower, nice pool, food was superb. We enjoyed the stay so much we are re-booking for our next visit!

The hotel was in an excellent location for our needs, very quiet and less than 10 minutes walk from a deserted beach. The hotel was boutique in style with 19 rooms although there was less than 50% occupancy all the time we were there. The staff were very friendly and super helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Sunil, the manager contacted us the day before checking in to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay pleasurable and then checked in with us every day to make sure we were happy or just for a chat. The hotels moto is “relax you are in Goa”, they really mean it and go out of their way to make it happen.

There was nothing we didn’t like, however the hotel is in a quiet spot on the south side of Goa, so if shopping and nightlife are your thing this hotel’s location may not be for you.

The hotel is set in among the trees which made it feel like you were in the tropics- which we liked! The meals were great- freshly cooked on the premises. The beach is only a very short walk away and is clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. A great place to spend time relaxing. The buffet breakfast was limited for choices on the continental side but we enjoyed the menu breakfasts a lot more. The only real disappointment was that this lovely place didn’t have a coffee machine, which I’m sure most Western travellers would appreciate!

We really liked the kindness and hospitability of the staff. We came from a more luxurious resort were staff was less warm. Also the cocktails which were so good, best we've had in India. The resort provides bikes which was very good for us to go to a store or nearby beach. The prices were great, and the food in the restaurant was very good and freshly cooked. The pool was clean, with enough beds and towels provided. When we had to catch a train very early on check out day the manager made a to go bag with sandwiches, water and bananas which was so kind and amazing!

Wifi was a bit weak in some places, like our room. Also breakfast could do with improving, or maybe when theres few guest make it to order. Beds a bit hard.
