smartroom The Residence la Cittadella Baden

A small, single person room, right in the center of Baden. Very clean. Comfortable bed. The windows have very good sound isolation, you cannot hear the people partying outside during the weekednd or the bell which tells the time in the tower nearby. A supermarket is available in the Manor shopping center nearby and another one, a Coop, is a few minutes away, in the train station. The baths are 10 minutes away by foot. For hiking there are multiple easy options starting from the Center of Baden. There is an elevator servicing all floors. There is a well equipped kitchen in the room.

The room was quite hot, even if it was September, it was not very sunny and it rained. I stopped the heating entirely but it still got very warm inside. The room is situated on the last floor.

The sink was clogging and there was no hot water in the shower for a couple of days in between. The staff on the booking.com chat for the property did not reply after a point l

Location was perfectly central. A two minute walk to the train station and an adorable cafe directly opposite.

The walls to the rooms can be very thin. I heard my neighbor dropping things most of the night and when people walked past the door it was quite loud.

City centre location, whilst convenient, was noisy overnight on a Saturday.

It was well located and clean. Easy to access once you found it

It was difficult to feel secure here as there was no bit or other way to secure the door. Since access is by a code with no attendant in the building and the back door is not secure at all anyone could access the building and if they had the code the room while you are in it. Really not at all secure for a solo traveler (or anyone else). Additionally, the ‘bathroom’ was minuscule and not fully separated from the bedroom. The address provided is for the main entrance to the separate restaurant on the ground floor. If you arrive when they are closed you would not know to enter around the block at the back entrance. The desk had no convenient plug and there was no light by the bed meaning you had to turn off the lights and navigate the dark room.

The knob of the door was working poorly and the answer to the ask of fixing quickly was “we will do what we can”. Not resolved during my stay

I stayed in room 34 on the 3rd floor.The TV remote did not work because the batteries were flat. The bedside table lamp didn't work because the bulb was broken.Both of these problems should have been found when the room ilwas being prepared.

Location is downtown, within walking distance to sites. Room was clean.

TV remote control didn't work. You have to search for outlet for table lamp. Curtains are difficult to move to open window. There isn't a reception.

the code we recieved was invalid, so we could not enter the apartment.The 7x24 urgency phone was not picked up. We already had left, but then i finally sent an SMS to that number, which yielded a reaction. so wereturned to the appartmens door, communicationg with the 7x24 support.After giving us other codes to try, the third code actually worked.This is totaly nonprofessional, an emergency number that is not pickedup if needed to clear problems (which were not bacause of us...) is useless...

they don't offer breakfast which is ok, there is a kichenette. the location is amazing! short walk to the train station and all the stores you can imagine. the riverwalk close by.

there is a certain noise level into the night from the street from the outdoor seating of the restaurants. church bell ring every 15 min. once the window is closed you hardly hear a thing.

Given the hot weather and because the room is under the roof, a fan would have been useful. The doorknob is tricky to use.

Nobody answered the customer care hotline and didn't react to messages sent to them about the broken hairdryer. Very dissapointing.

Unfortunately, the room was not entirely clean. It was also a bit noisy. I don't mind hearing the sounds of the city but I don't want to hear my neighbours

Really good stay overall, probably the best in Baden if you’re there for a couple of days. Central location, clean rooms.

Room 44 does not have any lamp that can be put close to the bed. This is inconvenient because the only light switch is near the entrance, not the bed. There is also no electricity plug close to the bed, and no extension cord I could find. so you cannot reach your charting phone from the bed.
