Vienna House by Wyndham Zur Bleiche Schaffhausen

The Vienna House in Schaffhausen is less than a 5 minute walk from the train station, making it extremely convenient. The rooms are well appointed, fastidiously clean, and more than adequate. The hotel¿s restaurant is also very good.

The only negative about the room was that I couldn¿t reduce the temperature despite adjusting the controller setpoint to 18C. So I was forced to open the windows, which then made the room noisy.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The communication through whatsapp was so personal and highly responsive. The hotel provided all the requested items such as an extra bed for one of the children and also helped provide an adapter to charge our phone. Rooms were socomfy and very functional. Very clean as well.

Nothing, it was a fantastic stay. We would stay there again.

best location in town for a day trip, by train station, clean, perfect size room, very convenient

The location is great just next to the train station.Even it near the train, no noise at all in night.The room is big and comfortable! And the staff at night shift are very sweet as they arranged a nice room for our wedding anniversary trip❤and they also give us a surprise too❤appreciate it!

The bed was uncomfortable. We booked a large suite for our family of 4 because of the space. The kids beds were fine but ours in the main room was a sofa pull-out bed that was awful to sleep on. The legs were uneven and the bed sunk down in the middle which hurt my back. Woke up grumpy not having slept. With 2 kids it wasn't worth it. I ended up sleeping with them in their bedroom for 2 nights, which negated the benefit of having our own private space. I might stay here again as a single traveler but no way with a family in that same room.

AC didn’t work in first room we were given and barely worked in the 2nd one we were “upgraded “ to ( maker in the room considered upgrade ) . We were lucky it was the coolest night in the month of July probably otherwise I can’t imagine

Location is excellent. Could easily walk to AltStadt which had a lot of restaurants, Cafes, stores, etc. Great old buildings and architecture in AltStadt. Short drive to Rhine Falls as well.

Ventilation system in room was not very good which made it warm and hard to sleep at night. The bathrooms are very functional, but small and don't lend themselves to much privacy from roommate.

Location is great - restaurant / breakfast is decent and staff ( mainly Sarah in reception) are mostly professional.

Cleaning is a major issue (still). I see hair on the “new” sheets every time and the washroom was smelling like urine as the floor was not washed before my arrival. As I checked in quite late in the evening- there was no time to switch room and advise the staff at night. The next day the floor was cleaned.

Very nice looking, clean room. The breakfast was ok, nothing special.

The only thing that i found a little unusual was the room design with the bathroom sink being practically in the room overlooking the bed.

Location in Schaffhausen is good

Shower was blocked, mattress was like a banana lounge, no tea & coffee facilities except going down to the restaurant to get one, one iron for the whole property

The bed was not a full size but two single size beds were combined together which is a bit less convenient for couples.

Hotel staff changed our room to adjacent rooms, that has inter-connect doors. On a pre-note, I did ask for such if there are any but was given room that are opposite. At least they bother to change it for us. They also provided us a kettle when requested. This hotel is above the underground shopping alley which has 2 supermarkets.

I booked 2 twin room and provided my family information (total 4 pax) before arrival in booking.com, the booking also stated 4pax taxes will be collected before checkout. But upon arrival, I was told to pay extra 20CHF per room per night as I have 2 pax in each room. This is ridicules. Not wanting to spoil the mood on first day arrival in Switzerland, and not having a choice to book another hotel, I proceed to pay but am utterly disappointed with booking.com and with the hotel. Not recommend to pay at the hotel, as they can charge anything they like and you are left with no choice. I didnt even know who to look for to get back my $.

Everything about this hotel is awesome!! The location, the cleanliness and the staff are very nice and friendly. Highly recommended!!!

Very clean, stayed in a junior suite that was 45 square metres in size and had some kitchen facilities

Hardly any English speaking TV channels. Only Swiss electrical J-type sockets in the room.s. I had to request for an adaptor in order to use a standard European F-type plug.

The room had a great layout.Parking was in the same building. Exceptionally cleanFantastic location

No Saturday night bar. I Was very surprised at this as several other people were also looking for drinks.

The location is very convenient being only 50m from the railway station.The size of the bedroom was good and it was clean, the bed was comfy.The person who checked me in was friendly and efficient.

No coffee machine in the bedroom, shower went cold.Breakfast is very poor value given the limited selection available especially the cooked options. If there was a possibility to have an omelette for example nobody mentioned it. On check out I was not asked how my stay was - that is when I would have shared these comments.

The room smelled like a men's room at a music festival, and they sent me spam before I made it from reception to the room.Also, no coffee or mini bar in the room.
