    Pros +

    • The hotel location was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable.
    • I did not expect to be directly on the waterfront, in the heart of the action, with two windows with amazing views directly over the water and promenade. Wonderful. An attic room, but great for me. Loved it.
    • Location was great and the rooms were lovely

    Cons -

    • There was no staff at the hotel during our stay, and no facilities were unavailable.
    • Smoke detectors in the room and hallway. These old buildings, top floor, make me a bit nervous about fires. An adequate number of functioning smoke detectors should be located up there.
    • No staff so restaurant was closed for dinner and breakfast.

It is an outstanding location, with a lovely view over the lake. The room is charming with old fashioned comfort.

We were travelling by bike and we had to carry our bikes up to the first floor as there is nowhere else to store them.

The location is excellent, you cannot drive anywhere near to it though. The car park is about 400+yds away from€20 for 48hours. I will include a photo of the front of the hotel as it’s not that easy to find, it’s above an Ice cream Parlour

Although there was a shower over the bath there was nowhere to put it on the wall So to shower you had to hold it !! Not ideal

    Location

Creaking floors, no light in the bathroom , no secure storage for bike, and breakfast starts at 10:00. As i needed to be in Bregenz at ca. 14:00, i had to skip my paid breakfast. This is the only hotel that offers starting at 10. If you cannot offer something earlier better not offer breakfast at all!

The location was great and the beds were great to sleep in.

Having a fixed shower on some sort of pole would make the bath better. With some more remodeling this Inn could really be a gem.

    8ConstancePosted on: 10-8-2023

I have read other reviews that seemed unfair. It is a small Inn. The staff is very nice and the location is excellent. It is very low priced. The furniture is older but the flooring and bedding were new. It would not be my first choice but was nicer than the reviews indicated.

The furniture and bathrooms were in need of updating

Breakfast was not included however nearby cafes available .We stayed 1 night here as we cycled round the Bodensee. Location is very good, right on the front at Uberlingen, in the heart of the bustling tourist area. Check in is at the cafe downstairs, but was efficient. They don't have parking or bike storage but the receptionist was quick to allow us to keep our bikes on the first floor landing which we appreciated. The room contained a fan, a fridge and a kettle and teabags etc, all of which were appreciated. There was a lake view from the small window in room 6

The room itself was in the attic and, to be honest, was barely suitable for 2. It took a lot of co-ordination moving around to avoid bumping your head or each other and you couldn't sit up in bed, only lie flat! When we checked in , it was apparent how tall my husband is ( 2 meters) and I am not short at at 175cm , so it did feel like a bit of a joke not warning us about the lack of headroom or offering an upgrade, which I would have paid for .For one night it did, but to be honest best avoid room 6! The side door to the hotel was not secure which was a minor concern. Breakfast is not offered. In summary, avoid the roof rooms and perhaps it's an ok place for 1 night, well located for the cycle routes and well located on the lakeside

Great location and views overlooking the lake.

The room looked nothing like the one advertised in the pictures on the website. It was under the eaves with sloped ceilings, had very dark wood panelling and was small for a double room. The furniture was old and overall the room needed a refurbishment.

    5PeterPosted on: 8-8-2023

    It was OK

Said see view but it was restricted. Out of one window or the toilet. Stairs no lift. No reception. Couldn't order a taxi. Road works.

    7StevenPosted on: 6-15-2023

Location on lake and walking distance to shops & restaurants.

Overnight bike parking not available. Had to put bikes in upstairs room. But appreciated staff’s effort to help our group.

    2TerryPosted on: 6-10-2023

Some of the rooms were bigger. Just make sure you don’t end up in the “attic”.

The room we had was so small, you couldn’t even walk around the bed. There was no room for luggage. We had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to it, without an elevator.

Beautiful lake-front location, with great rooms overlooking the waterfront. Very comfortable and bright. Close to bars and restaurants. Nice teas in the rooms.

No staff on show other than to give you the key. We didn’t try the cafe downstairs. Nowhere to park bicycles other than in the street outside.

Really loved the view! It’s a simple but romantic place to stay. Perfect view and great ice cream in the shop below. Plus it’s quieter than you’d expect given the amazing location right on the promenade.

    Nothing! It’s simple but comfy.

I was upgraded to room 4 with a fabulous view over the lake. Hot water, good internet, quiet. Furnitures, although dated, did not bother me. Free transportation with the local guest card.Good doubled-glassed windows (I could barely hear the works done outside).Big room. No kettle. Special thanks to the cleaning lady who took care of my broken suitcase.

The fridge is loud so take earplugs.Too much light at night.
