Bad Hotel Überlingen

Really great location and breakfast, everything you could need in a room and bathroom.

The room is a bit expensive.

The hotel is situated on Lake Constance and likely presents a stunning view of the lake and tha Alps - I say likely, as during our visit, the entire area was decked in thick fog…The staff were very pleasant and mostly spoke English. The food was excellent.My room was very well provisioned with coffee machine, hair dryer, a large TV and a typical German double bed with two single quilts and the bed was extremely comfortable!

I have no dislikes. The only thing “missing” from the room from my point of view - bearing in mind I was on business - was an iron and ironing board… But I asked for one, and it was delivered to my room.

The biggest and most impressive breakfast of our 10 day trip to Germany. Food was outstanding.

The view of Lake Constance from our room was blocked by construction.

We loved our room with a balcony in the villa--but it was difficult to access due to two flights of stairs. It's not easy traveling with suitcases and climbing two flights of stairs. The view was beautiful with the sailboats! Our waiter, originally from Algeria was excellent and surprised my husband (who had just celebrated a birthday) with a special, sparkling candle on our last evening.

We wish instead of a fan, the hotel could have provided us with a portable "tower" that blows out cool air (we had such an AC tower in our hotel room in Munich). It was quite warm in our room at night. Next time, I think that we will request a room in the main part of the hotel with the elevator which is close to the restaurant. Our first morning at breakfast we were late, and I didn't understand that we couldn't use the coffee machine after a certain time. An older man who was working in the restaurant yelled at me in German---but all I could say was "Es tut mir leid!"

From the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming and professional. The location was beautiful and our room had a dual aspect room looking over the gardens, wonderful nights sleep & breakfast was superb & food was great quality & choice was amazing.

Loved the location of this hotel sitting right on the lake. Gorgeous garden outside with lovely seating area. Breakfast was delicious. We had a junior suite which was fabulous. Possibly the most comfortable bed I've slept in! I would highly recommend staying here

The only downside would be if the weather was so hot you may need air con as there is only a room fan.. We didn't have a problem with the hot weather in September bur just a note for here

I loved everything.

Good sized room with lake views, very good location to explore the Bodensee area. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast buffet.

Beds very way too soft. Our feet and heads were high up, while the bum was buried in cotton balls. Blinds were a bit dated and didn't work. Breakfast is being cleared out way before breakfast time is over, which kinda adds some stress.

Location is great although the small stalls of the fair dud encroach on the privacy of the hotel grounds.

Some returns revellers were noisy in the early morning.

This very comfortable upmarket hotel is lovely, positioned 50m from the lake. The staff were professional and friendly providing great service. The room and bathroom were spacious and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a lake view (extra) which was worth it. Breakfast on the terrace or in the airy dining room was an extensive hot and cold buffet. Evening meals in the restaurant were excellent andf reasonably priced.

No air conditioning in the bedroom just an efficient fan. Shutters and blinds on the windows helped.

I was there on a very hot day. The room did not have an air conditioner but it did have a fan. People who struggle with heat should keep this in mind or ask if there are rooms with air conditioning.

Delayed check-in as computers were down, eventually let in with a skeleton key but no real issues

BAD Hotel is in the centre of the town which makes it perfect for exploring, popping back and off again. My room was small but spotlessly clean. Sadly not overlooking the lake. Breakfast was exceptional and every member of staff with whom I engaged was friendly and helpful.

A view of the lake from my room but I understand they cannot all have that.

Amazing views, great breakfast, beautiful location. Kind and accommodating staff with our baby as well. We didn't get to use the sauna or spa unfortunately!

There was no air conditioning and our corner room was extremely hot due to sun on both sides of the room, but unfortunately we couldn't open the windows without a ton of mosquitos eating us all day or night. Also, we were given two twin beds pushed together instead of a king bed.

The staff were very helpful, the hotels location and facilities were superb. We thought the hotel in the setting of Überlingen ensured we had a magical time.

Super location 2 minutes from the lake and 5 minutes from the town center, lakeside cafes, bars and restaurants.

Very friendly and attentive staff, cosy atmosphere all around the hotel and in the restaurant. Really professional and warm environment.
