    Pros +

    • Nice stay for a weekend in general. The food is really good overall the dinner buffet that we really enjoyed the taste of the food. The staff is very kind and helpful.
    • The view was stunning from the room, our large panoramic window gave us a stunning high up view of the surrounding countryside and mountains. The pool, although very functional in appearance was lovely to make use of.Gorgeous walks near by, and easily accessible for mixed abilities.
    • Location great. Our rooms were clean and presentable.Overall the meals (buffet dinner and breakfast) were good.Pool size was good.Out of season - so not too many other guests therefore, relatively relaxed.Good "play area" for the kids (and adults) to amuse themselves

    Cons -

    • Some areas of the hotel are getting a bit old and need a renovation, overall in the area of the swimming pool dressing rooms. It is also a bit dirty and mould in the wet areas. The sofa cama bed is not confortable.
    • Dinner menu was a little pricey and limited, so we chose to eat out. But this seems typical of hotels in the Black Forest region and would not put us off staying again.
    • Wifi signal weak - ok if you really want to be one with nature.Industry specific issues - eg no coffee/tea making facilities in room. The curse of the soft pillow (and spares missing - only 1 blanked).Again, the missed details are noticed - eg spare bed = another dressing gown needed? Also, check the spare bed that it works properly.

I visited this property for a 3 rd time now only because of the location. I. My first visit the staff was entirely different quite warm in Bavarian dresses serving amazing food at dinner and a tastier and vast spread of breakfast. That is why I took along my friend once in June and another in Sept 2024.I was highly disappointed both times seeing the lethargic approach in customer service and a minimalist breakfast Espresso for me as a vegetarian there were lesser optionsEarlier cut fresh fruits were served on all days now they are limited to Sundays I guess as I didn’t get them on Fri and Saturdays on my both last trips.Overall the mgmt seems to be cutting corners everywhere which is disappointing

I had booked the Superior Double room which last time was a too floor one with a elegant bathroom with a shower cubicle etc but this time it was a first level room with a shabby bathroom with a walk in shower or sort of powder room with a curtainIt was pathetic and I hated that for the money I had paid.

Nice 45 minute hike out the back door to the top of a small mountain. It looks down onto Lake Titisee. View over the town and mountains was beautiful.

Location and the staff at the reception and restaurant

I had stayed in this facility 2 years ago and had loved the location, staff and the great and sumptuous breakfast spread, hence suggested to friends and visited again but this time it was sheer disappointment. The breakfast was so minimal in variety with no choice but to have something before to set out to explore the black forest as there aren’t any other restaurants / cafes nearby.. There weren’t even cut fresh fruits (onThursday) despite being summer season which is loaded with fruits everywhere. All they offered was 1. Syrupy canned fruits on Friday and two types of cut fruits only on Saturday as over weekend they had some more guests but anyway we were to check out that day. The rooms seemed to be cleaned half heartedly and after I reported, the next day’s cleaning was ok. I wish they offer an electric kettle / water heater inside the room as guests can at least have green tea / coffee etc when they wish to. With this tariff that Jufa charges us, they can very well afford to give some more facilities is what I feel. The swimming pool water was very warm (at 6 pm) as the pool area (in the basement) was too hot and humid with no ventilation around . Within sometime it gave a suffocating feeling and had to leave the place.

Good pool, lovely rooms and view

No dinner available after 8pm. Pool slightly dated looking.

Beautiful view, the hotel gives you the real feeling of Schwarzwald. The whole staff had a smile on their face no matter what. That gives everyone a relaxing feeling. Very nice breakfast. If you want to relax (without small kids ?) then this place is definitly a superb choice. I did have small kids with me so i feel a bit sorry for the other guests, but we were there for only 1 night. ?

What i didn't like was that i could not find anything that i did not like?

    9JustinPosted on: 7-15-2023

location and view was amazing! family enjoyed the pool and the dinner was good.

No soap in pool showers, no rooms big enough for 5 so we had to be separated on different sides of the building

    7ShantysolotravellerPosted on: 5-3-2023

The location is exceptional! It is a good place for family.

The curtains were not dark to block light , they were very light in colour - white with some floral prints in light colour .This was the case in a single ocupancy room in which I stayed-105 and the other one - 104 offered as an alternative room by the staff. In the month of May the light comes till about 10 pm in the night and again in the morning, which starts at about 5.30 am before sunrise at about 6 am, so you do not get time to sleep because the room gets lighted and quite well lighted. I hope the hotel thinks logically and changes the curtains to dark colour. This was the only major factor that made my stay not good.

lovely hotel up the mountain with a great view

it would be great to have darker curtains in the rooms - sunlight woke us up way too early ?

    7RajeevPosted on: 4-22-2022

Hotel staffs were very helpful and polite. Loved their food

Tiny room with almost nothing. Bathroom heater did not even work. Two single beds of not so good quality.

    4DeviPosted on: 4-21-2022

unfortunately we did not have good experience

hotel location had no nearest public transport access. it becomes very difficult during bad weather to reach the nearest bus stop.

    9ShrikantPosted on: 4-5-2022

Good Location, Close to many scenic places, very friendly staff, clean, very good breakfast, nice facilities like swimming pool and sauna,

Very less almost none food options for vegetarians. we were unlucky to get Massage due to the staff vacation. Also steam bath wasn’t available due to Covid rules.

    10VedranaPosted on: 3-7-2022

Hospitality very pleasant, room with very nice mountain view. Great accomodation to enjoy the nature (woods or lakes nearby) and to escape from everyday rush, to relax. The food is excellent!
