Good basic clean travel lodge just a short distance from the Medieval sector of town and the remarkable cathedral.

Simple but clean room, friendly staff

Location was ok for walk into old town with a dog. The fact that dogs were allowed in breakfast area so we could eat together. Buffet breakfast was good with varied selection to suit all tastes.

Room size was passable for single but too tight for a double with hardly enough room down one side of bed. Overall I would suggest the hotel is ready for investment.

Very comfortable, quiet, good breakfast. Own car park.

As we arrived late and left after breakfast there wasn’t much to dislike.

    10BobPosted on: 11-9-2024

Everything was exceptional, the food, location and helpfulness of all the staff. We were given a map of the town showing all the worthwhile sites, also it was in English. So very helpful for us seeing the important attractions in the town.

Leaving after such a wonderful experience. Everything was absolutely wonderful so there wasn't anything not to like

Breakfast was really good so was dinner - not enough parking so it made it difficult for us. We were worried about the car

Restaurant manager in the evening was friendly and efficient, as was the morning receptionist. They let us put our bikes in a room so they weren't left on the car overnight.

We booked a room with a double and a single bed as we do not sleep well in the same bed. When we arrived we were given a room with just a double bed and told that it was assumed that as we were a couple and we didn't need the single bed - very weird, we could have been just friends, or brother and sister? We were offered a different room with two single beds, but I wasn't happy with that as I am tall and prefer a double. So, we were offered a pull-out child's bed which was assembled by the receptionist, who was clearly not a happy bunny! She said we should have been more specific about our requirements when booking - but if you book a double + single, you expect a double + single and not have the hotel presume you are sleeping together. Added to that, the room was rather tacky and the bathroom door was broken and wouldn't close properly, which made privacy difficult. It didn't even have a handle on the outside.

We arrived late and the super staff at the desk were so helpful with parking and made some late made coffee ,, big thanks to her

    7ZdeněkPosted on: 8-21-2024

    Good breakfast, very decent selection.

Absolutely desperate to park in the hotel car park. If you don't arrive on time, it's a big problem.Although I asked for the possibility to reserve a parking space when booking my stay, of course as a paid service, I was unfortunately not granted. Too bad, I would take such a service for granted nowadays.

Dog friendly throughout including the restaurant which was fantastic. A short walk from the city centre and free parking on site.

    7RichardPosted on: 8-3-2024

Everything was as expected. Good position, very comfortable bed, good breakfast and very pleasant staff.

We opted for the meal deal when we booked, but when we came to the evening meal, there was only one set menu which was not very appetising. There was no choice of any of the courses and we ended up having to opt for the a la carte menu. We are not sure that full credit was given against the cost of the evening meal which we settled when we left the hotel.

Very friendly staff, super convenient location to walk around the city. Electric car charging was easy and available in the car park. The room was well laid out with interconnecting doors for family. Would recommend the Ibis Bourges to stay!
