The property is value for money if you are looking for a basic neat & clean stay. We booked four rooms with them for a night for a family of 6. The staff was very nice, friendly & accommodating to our late check-in around midnight. The rooms were clean, comfortable and reasonable sized. The property has a large verandah on the first floor with outdoor seating. Sipping tea on a chilly morning amidst nature was a good experience.

We were travelling with elderly parents, so accessing rooms on the first floor via stairs was not ideal. But the climb was not steep, and the stairs were comfortable enough. There is no lift so something to keep in mind if you are travelling with older people. The bath linen was a little flimsy, but it was clean enough, so we did not mind considering the price we paid. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and some bathroom fittings needed repair. Though the breakfast was included, it is a set breakfast and not a buffet. We were a little disappointed as we were all vegetarians and there was no vegetarian option. They did whip us a quick veg breakfast of dal and parathas but better to let them know ahead in time of your dietary restrictions. There were many flies at the breakfast table which was very off-putting.

We had an amazing stay at travelers Nest and would absolutely come again! The hotel, rooms and common spaces are beautifully designed. The standout for us was the incredible food options in the restaurant - really amongst the best food we ate in kandyThe staff are wonderful

It's an average hotel but the behaviour of the staff was excellent especially Mr.Joshua...he was really awesome and friendly

Location was annoying but only because of the religious event. Otherwise would’ve been fine.

The staff was very accommodating, we had stayed in the place the night before and weren’t happy and made a last minute booking at this property - which was the best thing we could have done for our stay.The property was situated in a very easy and accessible spot to the city centre and restaurants.The place was clean and well kept.

No complaints but a suggestion would be to serve a more traditional Sri Lankan breakfast or atleast give guests the option to chose between English or Sri Lankan

Lovely bright clean property, friendly staff, swimming pool had a lovely view for the sunset. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Lovely freshly breakfast with fruit and fresh eggs

A little hard to find, so head to the Cocoba restaurant / Sunbay Hotel next door to find it!

Although the place seemed great on site, everything that came to be in reality was not. For starters the image on the website isn't the accurate room image. They have uploaded an image of a deluxe room to the standard room, misleading the customers. So once we got there we were stranded with two tent-sized rooms.Secondly, they had worms crawling in the showers, broken showers, NO TV remotes, NO Television in one room. Finally, the property itself is difficult to reach, which they don't inform you. The pool is the most misleading of them all with absolute no view or scenery promised on display.If you are planning on staying the night here, DO NOT settle for room numbers 117 & 120 (with no shower, no TV, no remote)

Rooms were nice and hotel was close to the center. Less staff and less friendly than other places we visited. Good for a 1-night stay when you’re traveling through.

Pool is clean and great in the heat. The place is super easy to get to and a short walk from the lake and city center. Rooms are comfy. Breakfast lovely. No complaints at all. Would def stay again.

Good breakfast and staff very helpful with questions about other aspects of our travel, including the Kandy Ella rail ticket. Cool bar next door. Walking distance to Tooth Temple and centre of Kandy.

Amazing hotel. Staff was very helpful. Specially Thanks for Lakshitha. Because he spilled water on my bed in my room, he made my bed for me in a very short time. There's nothing wrong with breakfast either. Everything is good. Thanks.

The location is very handy to town without being in the city, so you can get away from the noise. The facilities are a little dated but, clean and the staff are very accommodating if there is something you need.

absolutely nothing, it was awful

offered at an 80% discount, the hotel and pool looked ideal after a long journey. the pool was really dirty, the path up to it broken. the fan and a/c and fridge in the room were all so loud we had to switch them off. the hallways and stairs etc all really dirty. the room was tiny and basic. breakfast was also totally basic. the price is a con, there is no way this hotel's prices are ever 60 or 70,000 sri lankan rupees as stated in the ad. the worst thing is we could have stayed in a lovely guesthouse in a better location with a much better breakfast for half the 14,000 we paid to stay here. i tried to make a complaint but that wasn't possible so i will be making a complaint to booking.com.
