The Trees Hotel

Location, rooms, cleaning staff.

The restaurant wasn’t good. Food mediocre. Front desk staff wasn’t very organized.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views and an incredible rooftop infinity pool. Rooms were large with balconies that looked over all of Kandy.It was my birthday during the stay and the staff provided a lovely birthday cake in the room which was a lovely touch.

Food in the restaurant was a little average for the prices.

Great hotel that is extremely clean, with a fantastic view of Kandy from the rooftop pool. Breakfast is exceptional and the staff are willing to help you however needed

It is modern hotel, newly built with very clean facilities and rooms, the location is close to the city center and Kandy lake, with a 7 minutes walking distance to the city center.

The photos of the property doesn’t give the right indication of the location or the view, the pool is so small, and you will end up with a city views more than of green forest view. The staff were nice but with a lack of experience, also we were surprised with à la carte breakfast instead of a buffet, and we had to wait for 45 minutes for our food.

Amazing views, great rooftop, beautiful rooms, great food. This place was really special and high end. The hostess at the restaurant was very sweet and patiently explained the different food options. I felt really welcome. I will definitely stay here if I come back to Kandy.

Nice view, friendly staff, great location

A sophisticated new hotel that impressed immediately on entry into the lobby . The staff were excellent at checkin. We were shown to a lounge seat , offered a welcome juice while our luggage was taken care of .The deluxe suite with a spectacular view from the balcony, also impressed right away. . ( Room 306) .The dinner was great but the service was slow. A La Carte breakfast was included . I swam in the rooftop infinity pool even though it was raining . Altogether this hotel exceeded our expectations .

The hotel was very nice and clean. Great view, excellent rooftop

No warm water the first day in the showers. Restaurant very expensive and not very good, and not well served (some dishes missing, very long to obtain what we asked,). When we left, one staff member told us that we stole the power adapters lent by the hotel and asked us to come back to the hotel. We did (because we have never stolen anything) and lost 10mn to discover that the adapters were taken by another staff member. We paid 900€, do you think we would stole a 2€ adapter ?

Luxurious and perfectly located in the city, the people working here are sweet and helpful. I’ll definitely come back

All was good, no complains

The property is pretty new and kept very well. Its very near to city center by walk. All amenities are there and views are superb. Staff is nice and courteous.

I didn't tried the in house breakfast, as breakfast options seems limited.

Incredible service from the entire staff! So welcoming and kind, the women who work the front desk and the manager were so kind and made me feel so taken care of, esp as a solo female traveler. They helped me plan my day and find a driver for sightseeing. Thank you!!! The property itself is gorgeous and is totally worth it just for the rooftop pool and the views of Kandy, the temples and the surrounding hills. Would stay here again for sure!

Everything its nice???

In the morning you can’t stay on the balcony , Because of the monkeys, maybe they might attack you or enter the room and break things. But everything it’s nice

Really beautiful view down to the Kandy town, lake and Maligawa from the room and roof top infinity pool. About 10 -15 mins down hill walk to the lake and access to the town. Clean rooms and helpful staff.

The hotel was exceptional in every way: the service, staff, room itself all exceeded our expectations. We also had dinner at the rooftop bar/resto, just in time for a magnificent sunset over Kandy Lake.

We had a wonderful stay at The Trees Hotel in Kandy. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we felt very comfortable throughout our time there. The hotel was spotless, and the rooms were beautifully designed with very comfortable beds – we slept exceptionally well. The view over the city and the lake is truly worth seeing. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend this place.

Beautiful view, big spacious clean room, lovely pool on the roof.

The staff were a bit slow, would have expected a higher level of service for the price.
