The Summit Kandy

I would return to Kandy just to stay at this hotel. The views were breathtaking and the facility is very modern and comfortable. Our host were very welcoming and responsive to our ever need.

I wish they would have told me that they have a free tuk tuk service from the train station to the hotel. As the hotel is on top of the hill and is hard to find.

Exquisite small hotel (loved the interior design) and the building itself, awesome view, very pleasant and professional staff.

While reaching the place, I called and they didn’t answer the phone, I needed more info to get there. They text me after my arrival.

The rooms were very spacious and clean. The view was amazing. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was tasty.

The A/C was a bit too low even at 16 Celsius.. maybe that could be fixed and everything would be perfect.

The view was amazing, the breakfast was also really good What I liked the most are the staff, so nice and willing to do their best to help

I liked all the details about this boutique hotel. Our stay was exceptional, the vibe, the room, the food, the staff, the view…highly recommended!!

The staff were patient. They tried to bring a different experience in breakfast. Food was good. The room views are good. The staff supported having breakfast upstairs in the open balcony.

There are many limitations with this property.1. This is a small property and There is no power backup. We lost power and we stayed without power through the night and they next day . We had to stay with our phones switched off and kids were scared to even go to bathroom. 2. Hot water didn't work for most of the days in my room.3. The location, whole above a hill - it's very far away from Kandy. We don't get any Kandy views.4. I wished the property team would give us a discount for all the challenges we faced with no power through night and day. But, I didn't see the property owners taking any active action about it.

At first we couldn’t find the hotel as it looked like someone’s house. And when we walked in to reception if did feel like just that. Welcoming and warm. The room were spectacular with a view over Kandy. The size was great and immediately you felt at home and didn’t want to leave. As you open the door to your room the view and room take your breath away. The staff were fantastic and took real good care of us. Breakfast was delicious. That had adopted two street dogs they looked after and fed who were so cute! Take meaty dog treats if you go

The property was stunning when we walked into the room the view and light from the window were breathtaking with a lovely veranda to sit on The bedroom was elegant and bathroom big and roomy Dinner was fantastic a lovely steak Couldn’t fault this place the staff made it a very special occasion Thank you Sue and Neil

This hotel was stunning. It’s a boutique hotel, like a guest house. The staff were really kind and lovely, and took care of us so well.The room was comfortable and views were amazing just like the photos. We had dinner and breakfast and the food, coffee and juices were amazing!

A hidden gem above Kandy’s lights, this place is totally worth it. In every room, you’ll get a bird’s eye view of Kandy and the rooms are positioned such that you’ll get to see the sunrise. The place is clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. You could truly tell that this is owned by an architect that paid close attention to details. Kogul is an absolute superstar, and we found every staff member friendly, respectful and attentive.. There aren’t very many hotels I have been to where I felt that “I could live here”. The Summit made us feel that way.P.s. they offer candle light dinner at rooftop, that is well worth it.

Nothing! Some dishes could be a bit better but I am nitpicking

Comfortable hotel in Kandy with the view over the city. Room is spacious with everything you need for a short stay. Beautiful view on the city

The location is a bit far from the city center (you can not just easily walk around). No pool in the hotel that might be relevant for summer time

Oh wow the view!!! Stunning outlook over Kandy complete with a lovely breakfast and sunrise. Biig and luxurious room too.

We enjoyed the breakfast and the evening meal.The property provides wonderful views of Kandy and the surrounding mountains.The accommodation was very good and staff friendly and helpful.

An amazing location & lovely rooms making the most of the views over Kandy. Breakfast was very good & the staff were very freindly & helpful with suggestions for activities.

It was quite hard to get to up a very steep road but I guess if you want the views there's always a price.

This place was a great find , very tranquil and the views were spectacular. The staff your fabulous and always there to assist your needs.if your thinking of booking do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed.

There was nothing not to like

We stayed in The Summit for 3 nights and it was absolutely fantastic accommodation which exceeded expectations. The views were spectacular of Kandy and it provided a peaceful retreat after being in the busy city . Staff were friendly and provided a great service with delicious food .

The premises are in good condition and the views from the room are great. The room had a lot of space and light. The staff was very attentative and helped with everything they could. Food was also very well done and tasty. It’s situated up in the hill but you can reach it easily with a tuktuk or taxi.

There is nothing I could compain about.

Each room has a stunning view over the city. It is especially cool at night with all the city lights in the valley.

While we chose the location for the view we did not realize what kind of road will lead there. It is a narrow uphill drive. If you are by tuktuk this will be a struggle.
