Sevana City Hotel

Everything was grand. Beautiful room, good soundproofing -Very little street noise. Found out too late that they have a laundry service- after we trekked ours down the street to a little local shop. Loved the beware of monkey stickers on the windows!

We liked everything- they helped us with our bags , staff were really friendly, breakfast was lovely , allowed an early check in The hotel was nice and the room lovely

Nothing. including the bullshit owner of the property who extreamly rude for the guests.

The location is like a brothel house and the rooms are like central market.The owner of the property is a thug and looks a drug load who shout and threaten to the guests who visit the place.We immediately cancel the booking due to that reason.People who are planing to visit Kandy, please avoid this place

The staff was very friendly; they took care of me. Breakfast was very good! I was impressed!

There are mosquitoes in the room; they should put out mosquito spray and repellent.

Breakfast is good. The room is clean and enough hot water for bathing.

Clean and quiet escape from Kandy city chaos. Great AC, excellent shower, bathroom fan, tea/coffee in room. Friendly staff, excellent and generous breakfast. Helpful hints for seeing the town. Walk or short Tuk-tuk ride from stations and main attractions.

Good for one or two nights near the railway stationthe owner was gentle to drop us to the train station

location is a bit hard to find, it is in a small narrow way inside thr city didn't like the breakfastfor anyone who smokes , the rooms are non-smoking and you have to go down to smoke

The owner of the hotel was so lovely! We had some washing to do when we first arrived and after a few hours it was ready for pick up. The breakfast was delicious, as it was a Sri Lankan buffet. Location was central and tucked away from the main road, so minimal noise.

Lots of stairs to get to your room but the workers offered to help bring our heavy luggages up. Beds are a bit firm for my liking but noticed it was common on most of our accomodations.

location inside the city. clean toilet. breakfast was good. their helper staff was super helpful, gave us welcome drink and explained the facilities available and the places to see around.

bed linen was a little wornout / old.

At the reception, They helped us a lot in every way. They provided us with very good information for our Kandy trip. They also tried to help us with our train tickets and transfers. Thank you for everything. We feel lucky to have come across such helpful people.

The bed could have been more comfortable, the sheets were torn in some area

Extremely friendly staff helping me and a friend who's booking at another hostel got cancelled in the night. Much appreciated their efforts and kindness. The breakfast is soooo good ! Big variety and local food. Recommend 100%

staff very attentive and couldn't do enough for us, moved a WiFi box for better signal, good arrival iced tea, breakfast plentiful and delicious, great value for money

we couldn't find our key and then found out at reception that there was no spare. luckily found it but they should have a back up plan for this!

Very friendly staff. Always reachable, was happy to help us anytime, clean and spacious room. Organized a visit to Sri Dalada Maligawa with Mr Tennakoon ( very kind person: Tour guide). Recommend 200%. Also the berakfast was delicios and authentic.

Breakfast was great. Within a small area we could get a lot of variety. It was very tasty. Very Friendly staff. Excellent service by Natasha and Suresh.The hotel owner Mr Nalaka was helpful and friendly. Walking distance to many popular textile outlets.

We arrived via train to Kandy Station. The hotel is not that far but I suggest negotiating with one of the many tuk-tuk drivers at the station to go to the hotel. Kandy is busy and bustling. There is much to see and do.My City Hotel is set back (about 25m or so) from a busy road on its own no-through road (so no traffic). This enables the Hotel to both be central to city centre but still (surprisingly to us) quiet at night. A big plus!The hotel itself is family owned. It is compact, but bright and very clean. There are stairs, no lift. No outside area as such, as is commonplace with a city centre hotel.Greeted at reception and offered home made spiced chai ice-tea. Very nice.The room was larger than we anticipated: huge bed, functional en-suite, tea/coffee, A/C., Clean.No bar as such but there is one just over the (main) road ;)Easy but busy walk to the City centre, market and lake. We rang the same tuk-tuk driver for a Kandy tour the next day: very cheap and we saw everything we wanted to. All day.Bed was comfortable and quiet. Good sleep.Breakfast was a feast: smoothie, fruit, toast, cakes/muffins, eggs, a selection of Sri Lankan breakfast items, tea/coffee. (The owner saw me eating the curry and string hoppers 'Sri Lankan' style (fingers, right hand (there is cutlery)). He beamed a smile and went and brought me a different curry the staff was having! So nice!).So in summary, we were at My City Hotel for 2 nights and we think it is a great choice for central Kandy. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely.

Excellent breakfast, nice room, spacious and clean. Very helpful staff.

Staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. They also arranged a car to take us to our next destination, Sigiriya. The driver, SD, was a good, safe driver, and he provided us with lots of valuable information about places of interest along the way. He suggested places we might like to visit on the way, and was happy to wait whilst we looked around.Thank you, SD, for a memorable journey between Kandy and Sigiriya.

No lift, so a bit of a hike to the third floor. Room safe didn't work, but otherwise our accommodation was fine. Buffet breakfast was good.Best thing about My City were the staff. Lovely people. Helpful and friendly throughout our stay.I'd give them 5 stars.
