    Cleanliness, spacious room, friendly staff

Decoration is a bit cold and outdated (though it's a matter of personal taste)

    1EcePosted on: 5-26-2025

It was close to the train station

Sheets were dirty and towels had a strange smell. And 6 floors up was terrible. Checking in was via WhatsApp and we had to send id photos through WhatsApp which made me unsecure

Typical B&B hotel, for the price we paid it did the job of a place too sleep more than well. We arrived late and only spent one night there so hard to develop a lot judgement. Clean and nothing to complain about. Location is pretty close to the historic center, all the touristic stuff is accessible on foot, yet pretty practical for driving-in. There is a municipal parking right next to the hotel, it's not free of charge during daytime but it's free of charge during the night. For an overnight parking we paid something like 2€.

We didn't check the breakfast so can't say if it was decent. It rarely is in this kind of hotels in France.

Affordable , clean, easy to find

Noisy street, windows are poorly built and don’t reduce traffic noise enough. Entrance door bangs into bed frame as the room is too narrow. Corridor needs ventilation as the VOC fumes of the fresh surface finishes are saturated.

It was somewhere in Troyes to attempt to sleep.

“The Hotel of Horrors: A Theatrical Tragedy in One Act”Oh, what a MAGNIFICENT establishment I’ve had the pleasure to grace with my presence!
A hotel so CUTTING-EDGE they’ve pioneered the concept of the INVISIBLE RECEPTIONIST!There I stood, trapped in what I can only describe as “Pre-Hotel Entry Purgatory” – a theological concept previously unknown to hospitality! The 24/7 reception was indeed there… in the same way that dark matter is THERE – theoretically existing but impossible to bloody observe! When finally admitted to this palace of wonders, I received not a key card but a NUMERICAL CODE! How INNOVATIVE! Why worry about card readers breaking when you can just share your security with anyone possessing FUNCTIONAL EYEBALLS? Nothing says “exclusive accommodation” like the potential for UNINVITED MIDNIGHT ORGIES from strangers who watched you type! But the PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE was the air conditioning situation! Or should I say, the LACK thereof! The room temperature rivaled the surface of MERCURY, but fear not! The hotel manager – in an act of BREATHTAKING CLAIRVOYANCE – had decided it wasn’t hot enough and SWITCHED IT ALL OFF before leaving for the weekend! How thoughtful! How PRESCIENT! How ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN’ RIDICULOUS!“Leave a complaint,” suggested the receptionist, with all the reassurance of a parachute instructor saying “I think I packed it right.”Opening a window? BRILLIANT IDEA! If you fancy inviting in the mysterious gentleman in black prowling among the smashed glass and graffiti on the adjacent roof. Nothing complements a sweltering night like the fear of HAVING YOUR BELONGINGS STOLEN or waking up with ARTISTIC ADDITIONS TO YOUR FOREHEAD!And let’s not forget the TOILET BOWL! Adorned with orange stains suggesting someone had experienced what can only be described as TANGO DIARRHEA! The windows – when briefly opened in desperation – transformed into MEDIEVAL PUZZLES impossible to close again!

Clean, nice hotel, very well located, good value for money

    7PamelaPosted on: 1-30-2025

Perfect location for a hop off on our long drive to the Alpes! Have used this place before and found it great value for money and convenient place in the town centre. It’s exactly what I would expect for the price, clean and comfortable enough. There is a lift and a public car park in front of the hotel which is free overnight. Its location in the centre of beautiful Troyes is perfect. There you will find great restaurants and a short walk back. Ideal.

My only gripe was that we weren’t informed about breakfast when we checked in so presumed there wasn’t any. There is and we were asked in the morning why we hadn’t booked the night before! The breakfast was very basic buffet and the bacon and scrambled egg were luke warm by 9am but otherwise cheap enough that we didn’t care and it got us on our way!

Location. Centrally based. Parking was easy. Fine for an overnight when passing through.

Beds were quite hard and not too comfortable

    10JuliettePosted on: 12-29-2024

Brilliant hotel, or arrival and check in was quick and smooth, the rooms are almost completely soundproof, the hotel was full and we didn’t hear another person until we went down to breakfast. The beds are comfy, with twin option for beds which suited us, the rooms have everything you need, it didn’t feel budget at all, everything was new and clean. The man on reception was friendly and helpful, the breakfast varied and delicious, the best hotel breakfast we have had in France! There was scrambled egg and bacon, baguette and brown seeded bread, cakes, patisseries, good quality juice, teas, coffee, hot chocolate, herbal tea, lovely yogurts, cheese, cereal, milk, jams etc. all buffet style. The breakfast hostesses were constantly replenishing and clearing tables, very efficient and customer orientated. We checked in at 7pm and we’re told how to get into central Troyes, a5 minute walk, had delicious meal at a pizzeria, will definitely stay again as perfect half way stop between London and Alps.

The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent

    The shower was not brilliant

    8AndrewPosted on: 9-15-2024

Great location. Minimal facilities just what you really need. Excellent breakfast.

Room noise was a bit annoying - you could hear the next room too easily.

    7RuthPosted on: 8-29-2024

Location was convenient and straightforward to find. This was a last minute booking due to a change in plans. Fine for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good.

Rooms were hot and small, somewhat dated and quite noisy. Not all light fitting worked. We had stayed with this chain before and they are normally excellent but this one could do with an update.
