    Pros +

    • Great location
    • Immaculate! Stunning renovation of a medieval building! Quiet, comfortable, amazing and helpful staff!
    • One of the things we love most is how wonderfully dog-friendly the hotel is — our pup was treated like part of the family and joined us everywhere, even at dinner. Speaking of dinner, the meal was outstanding — beautifully prepared, delicious, and at an excellent value.

    Cons -

    • No lifts. No standing shower
    • Not one thing
    • only areas for improvement i think i would mention would be that there was a surcharge for a baby cot, this was the only hotel we've encountered this in and also the most expensive of our trip. The food in the restaurant was good and classic french but not outstanding considering the prices, not sure what the food scene in Troyes is like as we only had one night there

service was great, they all looked after us very well and the room was fabulous. the staff assisted us in finding very convenient parking and getting our bags to our room as we had a baby. the breakfast in our room was very nice too and set us up for the day nicely. we loved our stay and would definitely visit again.

Interesting property - nice room; great location.Would stay there again but definitely wouldn’t eat there again - dinner or breakfast

That the restaurant was decidedly average re quality of food; disappointing menu and food/drinks very overpriced

I loved the old style of the buildings with the exposed beams and soft comfortable furnishings. The hotel had a cosy warm atmosphere- great for a winter visit. Our room was lovely and the bed was comfortable! A great study.

Amazing hotel. High standard decor. Full.of charm and sophistication.Old world charm with modern elegance.A magical medieval property.Spacious rooms with spacious bathrooms. This is not an ordinary hotel, it is unique. If you have the chance to stay here you must.

    No lift, understandably.

A lovely old building with lots of character

It is advertised as a “ Spa Hotel “ yet when we checked in, we were told it was 150 euros to use the spa - which included a bottle of champagne ( which we didn’t want ! )

Very unique and charming hotel. The rooms have real character, and the common areas are cozy and decorated well.

Unique building , incredibly clean, very comfortable bed , private parking , great food and super friendly owner and staff .

That we only stayed 1 night

I have been before and knew my friend would love the building and the town. They both basically lived up to expectations other than the important missing items listed below. A great shame....

I believe that a five star hotel should emit a feeling of total luxury. There were no slippers and all floors brick it stone, no shower caps, no shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and not even a small biscuit to enjoy after eight hour drive. On Check out we were told that all of these things available on demand via a tiny list in the bathroom which I did not even see. Luxury means instant availability of all of these items in my opinion making our stay a little disappointing.

Such a beautiful hotel set in the hart of Troyes. This hotel has been beautifully converted with keeping the traditional look and charm, I strongly recommend this hotel

History, location, beauty, comfort, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff

No space for dinner, but we were directed to a lovely local restaurant

The hotel is in a great location and is beautiful old building. The courtyard sitting area are beautiful.

Air conditioning did not work in the room. The staff tried to persuade us that it did work but clearly knew it didn’t. The staff told us that it worked better at the 20 degree setting rather than 16 degree (the coldest) setting but they obviously knew it didn’t work. The bath took 40 minutes to run as the water flow was so slow. There was no proper shower option. The room had minimal facilities. Just a very small bottle of water for us to share and a kettle with teas. There was no fridge. The breakfast did not have many options and was overpriced at 30 Euros per person. All in all, definitely not a five star experience.

It was breathtaking - this is a seriously beautiful place, amazingly well preserved given the fighting in the First World War. We had a lovely wine tasting too - spontaneous and easy to arrange. I cannot recommend this place more

Beautiful hotel in an exquisite medieval city. Service and attention to detail from Julie and her staff was amazing. The Medieval suite is one of our favourite hotel rooms in the world.

    7FionaPosted on: 8-2-2024

Near the centre. Quiet apart from cathedral bells! Nice breakfast and good service.

The spa - very small and compact with a bath for a pool.
