Best Western Plus Hotel des Francs

Location: fine bourgeois neighbourhood, 10 minutes walk to the centerParking: underground garage with access / lift to the hotel. However, not secure, street access to everyone.Receptionist: at our arrival she phoned endless, finally I had to ask her "if and when could we eventually get her attention"? ?Room: disaster, in hotel description on booking.com stood for our room the size with 32sqm ! The Reality: never, ever that size, we informed the hotel about this 'difference' in size and the room rate. Subsequently and during the night, they changed it to 24sqm, however I still have doubts about this size,. Even worse, the heating in the room was not working, same with the laptop safe.I insisted to get an adequate room regarding our booking, finally it happened. And next morning we negotiated a reduce room rate.I should mention that this 'experience' happened during our Sunday/Monday stay.Over the years, I stayed several times in this hotel, now I will never return.

This is a very pleasant hotel with very helpful and engaging staff. Very well appointed rooms and a lovely restaurant! Bit far from the centre of Soissons and not close to restaurants etc, but I had a great stay.

Room was clean, bed comfy, gentleman on reception very helpful and courteous. About 15 min walk into town.

Pool was a big disappointment, very small,and cold and only two loungers and 2 chairs. I'm not sure what happens when a few people are down there! Had bad nights sleep as air con been turned to heat setting by management, even though it was 20+° outside so extremely hot, sweaty night.

The hotel is very well located and easy to find, offering parkings, good breakfast and really good dinner (menus).

A very conveniently located hotel. It was easy to find with free and plentiful parking and an efficient and friendly check in process. We had a Queen room which overlooked the Abbey and it was a short 15 minutes walk into town.A very comfortable bed and pillows.We decided to eat in the restaurant for the one night we stayed and had no regrets. The food was divine and for the quality, we thought was great value. Breakfast included a machine to squeeze your own orange juice, a pancake maker and scrambled eggs with bacon in addition to baguettes and croissants, yogurts and cheese/meats. We will happily stay again.
