Feilding Hotel

location

The room door did not lock. The shared toilet and bathroom were horrid, dirty and old.

Location was great. Breakfast was inadequate.

Bathroom facilities were inadequate for two elderly people. No elevator (it is an old building) makes room access difficult for elderly and probably impossible for seriously physically impaired.

Did not have breakfast. Walking distance to have alook around town. If they had entertainment down in the bar which could be noisy we were notified by email.

There was nothing that we didn't like ? if we are back down that way again we would definitely stay again. ?

Although the decor was dated, it was clean.

The microwave was dirty, however I didn't need to use it.

Very loud all nightShare bathroom horribly dirty , no toilet paper , fluah not work.. etc..

I liked the close proximity to places to eat, cafes, shops etc. The bar downstairs was handy too.

Pay for what you get, very old run down, ok for 1 night stay. Batteries in remote flat and frige not going .Was clean but wouldn't stay again

Location was good , we did not have breakfast

Would have been ok if the shower worked

What Breakfast???? Lack of meals in evening.

BREAKFAST???? Curtains very poor fitting. Lack of towel hanging fixtures Only one chair in Double room.

No breakfarst offered

Kari-oki till 2am one night, a band till 12 am the next but worst was that the cleaner for the bar came in at 5 am and turned the stereo up full bore over the vacum cleaner. The no refund or transfer policy on bookings make the notification that there would a band playing at night mean very little as we cannot go somewhere else.

Amazing staff and a social pub great for meeting the locals and awsome entertainment.

The linen on our bed was dirty. Dirt spots a bottom sheet and blood spots on 1 of the pillowcases. Simple change of linen before we arrived would have made a big differrence. Lucky we brought a spare.

Walking distance to the shops.

Downside was, someone downstairs turned on a radio really early. About 5,6am. That also woke a neighbouring room who then started talking really loud. Will be back but a different room.

Quiet, comfy, the staff are friendly, clean and the style was great

Not much. Linen was clean as was the bathroom and had a great shower. Great location!!

No meals available in the hotel. Old and rather shabby. Bed was only a double and room was too small for the extra bed

OK

we have been double charged, the staff did not know that we had already paid, and also tried to charge us to much

Couldn't tell you, unfortunately when we arrived for check in our room was given to someone else in error with same first name.Staff was brilliant though and gave us a full refund on the spot so we could find alternative last minute accommodation. Raceway Motel kindly had awesome studio for our stay that exceeded our expectations.

Booked and pre-paid months in advance however on check in our room had been given enough to someone else in error. Was offered a room with no bathroom or a room with 2 single beds and a bathroom instead. Not what we had booked and paid for.Accepted the refund and apology and found alternative accommodation in Fielding that was awesome.

Availability and location

no soap in the bathrooms, furniture and carpets straight out from the 70's, no staff to be found...beds quite narrow, bed sheets and blankets 30 years old.

It was in a good location. It was comfortable and clean.

Plane going over early in the morning.

Room was great, very close to everything

Only thing I didn't like about our stay was the room was very hot, needs air conditioning or fan

This room had all we needed for one night stop-over. The beds were very comfortable. The ensuite was small, but functional.

The share kitchen that was advertised was quite unappealing. I didn't linger, but I didn't see any facilities apart from the double sink that weren't available in our room. It was a little difficult to fill the electric jug from the small handbasin in the ensuite, but we did manage with only a little water spilt on the floor.
