Merrylees Budget Hotel

I was not aware there were breakfasts there. I did have an evening meal which was good.

I went to use the shower and I could not get any warm water at all -all I got was cold. The hand basin was the same so someone must have used it all. The toilet door squeaked whenever I opened or shut it. I did not want to think I was disturbing someone in the dead of the night.

I accidentally booked the wrong month. I actually stayed the previous month in OK accommodation at the same location, but had to pay full price. I requested a partial refund on the cancellation for this month and got no response at all.

Some response. My error but acknowledgement would have been nice.

Friendly staff, centrally located.

Avoid Room 1, extremely noisy right next to main entrance lobby. Doors banging through the night.

Free WiFi was nice

Multiple hairs in bed sheets clearly weren't washed in a while. Floor was dirty, hair in the sink and a grossly sticky bathroom floor

The staff were friendly and food was good and menu selections were great.

The room was an old converted office next to the main entrance and it was incredibly noisy, very old single bed, and very tired looking room. It's part of a sports bar, restaurant facility and lots of drunk loud people right outside the room.Across the road from a train.The price was expensive for the room.Not somewhere to stay if you're looking for a peaceful sleep.

Room was a blast from the past ? but great shower, comfortable beds, great location, basic room but clean and quite roomy. The staff allowed us to secure our bikes in the wide hallway outside our room. Economical!

I think given the size of the room that the price is a little steep. I'd pay between $65 to $70 per night. But the bed was comfy. Window couldn't open all the way but was glad to see that a fan was provided as it was really warm in there. Other than that,staff was extremely helpful. Answered questions when asked. Would stay again to enjoy the motel and restaurant experience.

No breakfast but good location for what we needed. Dinner was excellent.

Bit noisey with patrons leaving pub but to be expected. Room was a little small.
