Excellent location, staff are awesome, food was great. Couldn't ask for better for the price. Great pub

The female staff person with the lovely hair was very helpful, accommodating and professional. We loved the Sunday night roast and music club night.

The accomodation is good but lacks a sink unit A basin sink and bench with taps in the studio would fit easily and be helpful for guests. Don't like washing dishes in the bathroom.

Timed our stay for the Tuesday 2 meals for 1 !! What a bonus.Food was fantastic.Facilities were simple but all that was needed for a good nights sleep.Loved the views and even though the rains came - thoroughly enjoyed our stay.When back to NZ - will have it as a Place To Stay.

Room was a good size and spotlessly clean. Hotel was easy to find and conveniently located next to the main road.

Although the rooms were spotlessly clean they smelt ‘stale’. Opened all the doors and windows for 10 mins which cleared the smell. TV channels in our unit didn’t work and the owner who was really nice wasn’t able to sort it.The accommodation is described as dog friendly but when we asked the receptionist if there was a dog waste bin i was told they don’t have one and i would have to take dog waste away with me!, hardly dog friendly.The steps (including area under the hand rail) and the decking in front of the rooms were overgrown with weeds which looked really unsightly.Cleaner was awesome!

We enjoyed a great meal at restaurant, impressive gluten free menu.Also had live music, good atmosphere

The room itself was good and there was a bar serving food opposite.

The location wasn’t great. We overlooked wasteland used as a car park at the front and a septic tank at the back. The walls were so thing you could hear conversations in the adjacent rooms.

The food in The Woody bar was excellent and the locals friendly

The room had a strong odor of mildew that aired out ok but the mozzies flooded in through the open windows.

Met by friendly staff, unit was spacious with comfy bed and great shower. The meal in the hotel was exceptional, and lovely to eat outdoors with a great view.

Bedside lights would have been really helpful and washing up liquid would have been useful to clean our breakfast dishes.

Nice quiet and close to town

Though the place was clean, the carpet smelled like dog.

Very nice and clean accommodation. There are also restaurants and bar you can take a dinner or just beer. Everything was perfect.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, massive bathroom, tidy rooms.

One of the rooms had a slight off smell, like a pet smell. But overall very happy.

Very comfortable room with great shower. Liked the local vibe away from the tourist hype!

Mosquitoes came into the room at night so perhaps mesh/netting over windows?

A calm, quiet "rural" option to stay overnight. The room was very tidy and the beds were excellent.

Not really a hotel/motel, but a few rooms at the backyard of a pub some 7min drive from Hokitika. However, the location was very calm and the accommodation better than expected!

Spacious, clean and warm room, with a large bathroom and great shower. Appreciated being able to walk across the car park to the pub/ restaurant.

Location out of town but we knew and accepted that.

Smell on entry, possibly cleaning products or damp, but unit was tidy. Walls a little thin.

Quite noisy - the units are in the pub parking lot and there is fan noise from the kitchens and general noise you would expect from being in a park parking lot

It was very clean and tidy and it had a great shower.

It had a bit of a smell but that would have been from it being closed up. We opened the windows and doors for 5 minutes and it was ok.

I love the location and the staff are fantastic. Plus the food is always fantastic
