    • This place is lovely, and amazing rooms. The part I didn't like as a solo traveller looking for a short lively break is that its up in the hills a good 20 minutes from the coastHowever, local town has amazing restaurants, and its a very cosy romantic get away im sure for a couple Will definitely use as a place to work from home in the winters in the future despite this, it was just very pleasant and the room was like a studio, huge with plenty of space, its own sitting room etc.
    • Our stay was fantastic - communication was great, the hotel itself is beautiful, rooms great size and comfortable, the food is fantastic and the staff were so welcoming, helpful, and just great. We could highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with amazing food! There is also a relaxation spa with is a great addition. Location is 15 mins from the airport - we arrived via the port and the taxi was about 25/30 minutes but a beautiful drive up in mountains.
    • lovely hotel with open air pool and beautiful gardens, really good breakfasts

    Cons -

    • That we couldn't stay longer than 1 night!!
    • location distance from bus stop
    • There was no carpark, so we had to find somewhere on the street. The restaurant is expensive.

We were two families for a week, very convenient location if you want to travel all over the island by car. Great eco breakfast with local products and helpful staff. We wanted to visit the spa or gym but could never get in as they are available from 10am to 6pm.

Pretty little hotel near to the airport. Loved the tableware in the restaurant. Interesting choices for breakfast.

There was no carpark, so we had to find somewhere on the street. The restaurant is expensive.

Very comfortable, large and quiet room.Had bicycle equipment available which was perfect as we had a flat tyre during our stay. Staff really friendly.

    Water was not hot

Nice hotel, but very far from almost anything. That's not a problem if you have a car (though be careful - the incline near the hotel is quite steep), but if you intend to travel by bus it's a bit of a pain. The breakfast was interesting. There were a lot of very small pieces/dishes of tasty something I enjoyed, but they are small & very slowly refilled. Don't buy your breakfast there if you intend to eat & rush out in 15-20 mins after the opening: the guy serving breakfast will spend first 30 mins just bringing out food. Very tasty though.Friendly staff

Far from everythingDidn't like the restaurant (tried dinner there & rice was overly salty and too dry like it overstayed it's welcome in the oven)Dirty swimming pool (maybe just nobody expected us to go swimming in November)

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, lots of fresh, homemade food. Great coffee and delicious smoothies (that banana & chocolate is to die for!)Clean room and bathroom. The hotel's restaurant is exceptional with their local dishes. We had a wonderful evening meal there.Quiet area.Pity we had no time to try the pool it looked great.

Parking is difficult in the area, narrow road and downhill parking is more than challenging. Bedside table solution is a little wobbly in our room.

The location was convenient for TFS airport

In short, hotel 'could try harder'. Staff were friendly but the room was overall disappointing. It needed a bit of love! Some sense of design. It just felt a slightly sad place - and kinda reminded me of visiting the house of a poor elderly relative. It was clean - no complaints. Bathroom with a single bulb on the ceiling - very dark. Ante room with a sofa - but no other decoration. A desk pushed into one corner. A notice about 'not smoking' was Scotch-taped to the wall. (Made it felt that you were in some council office not a hotel). And without air-con this is going to be HOT in summer. Breakfast was kinda uninviting. We are just today checking into another hotel (also via Booking) and considering the vast difference in feel, ambience, design and just a sense of love and welcome - had to post this while on our minds. Ecolife was not bad, but it just should be trying a bit harder.

Highlight is the restaurant. It offers local, creative cuisine including plenty of vegetarian options

    8ShaunPosted on: 11-26-2024

    Very comfortable rooms

Was a bit noisy due to doors and windows banging from other rooms. However it was windy so other guests may have left windows open. Not really the hotels fault.

We stayed overnight at the Ecolife Hotel in Tenerife. It has a good location, close to the center of San Miguel, and is just a 20-minute ride from both the airport and the port. We arrived late and left early, so we didn’t have a chance to use the swimming pool or try the breakfast. The room was spacious, comfortable, and pet-friendly.

Some road noise. The decor has room for improvement, especially the lighting.

The location near to the airport was our reason for booking and is convenient. The on-site restaurant is good and has a cool earthy/rustic feel and the restaurant manager is nice. I think we may have enjoyed this property more if we stayed for longer however I share the below as relevant information for short stays. I think the property has a lot of potential and perhaps the room next to reception should be modified or only used for travellers who understand in advance what they are reserving.

    - The reception process if you come outside of 9-7pm is not exactly smooth. We arrived just after 7pm and unfortunately realized there was no designated parking space and had to park up significantly up the hill from the property. - The pool area is nice although the pool itself has a shorter availability window (only until 6:30pm).- We were unfortunately double charged and had to undergo a longer refund process.- The quiet hours of 10pm seemed to begin more around 11:30pm, which should be noted if you sleep early/have an early morning flight.- It should be noted there is no air conditioning. This would normally be OK as the night air is cool if you leave the windows open.- Unfortunately we were placed in a room right next to reception (and the restaurant) that had little privacy with open windows/blinds. So we kept them closed and the room was very warm with no ventilation. My advice would be to communicate with the hotel in advance to ensure you are not given this room if you are a light sleeper/sensitive to temperature.- The wifi did not work in our room. It only worked in the pool/common area.

The hotel is small, but well maintained. Breakfast is good and they serve local foods. We were there for New Year's Eve and we were pleased to find in our room carnival items. A really nice surprise!

The location is uphill, a little far from the points of interest.

    8PatrickPosted on: 2-4-2024

Comfortable. Relatively good location for exploring local area and close to the airport so easy to get to.

Our room was above a road that did occasionally get fairly noisy. The breakfasts were okay, the quality of the ingredients was good (buffet style) but the nice food ran out quickly restricting choice and the coffee wasn’t good.

    8JuliaPosted on: 1-8-2024

Nice pool area, good restaurant but slow service at start, beds reasonably comfortable.

Beside main road so inevitably noise from traffic going uphill but knew in advance this was the case. Shower took ages to have hot water and shower head needs improving/maintaining. A good cup of tea seems elusive.

I wanted to have a hotel near the mountains, and this was an excellent choice. The price of the hotel room was reasonable, in contrast to other places, and I appreciated that I was given the most spacious room and the only one with a balcony. The owner's wife, an Italian lady, was extremely helpful. At my arrival, she spent more than an hour with me to give me advice about my trips to the National Park and across the island. I loved how close the hotel is to Villaflor and Teide. Finally, the hotel has an excellent, though pricey, gourmet restaurant - ecologically responsible and fine local food.

The hotel is situated at the bottom of San Miguel, and if you want to go to the city centre, about 400m away, it is a steep climb. No problem for me, but take this into account, if you have mobility problems. Also though I had the best room, it was next to the main street to the mountains. Relatively quiet between 11pm and 7am, but otherwise much traffic noise. Finally, the only thing in the hotel's powers: do fix a shower gel/shampoo dispenser in the bathrooms. It does not cost much, but the current sachets and small soap are insufficient.

    quiet location

In restaurant very long waiting time, insufficient breakfast. During weekends nearly impossible to reach by public transport

    10MatthiasPosted on: 11-29-2023

Everything was perfect. The hotel is located in quiet village of S Miguel, it has a few shops in walking distance. The restaurant was open and a must to try, the food is freshly prepared, every day they have different specials that they’ll tell you once you read the menu. Will definitely go back!

The hotel is beautiful. The room was basic but nice however it was really, really hot inside. We had to keep all window open and there was unfortunately another very noisy guests next to us that kept screaming and taking very, very loudly. Since there was no staff at 2 am, we had to close the windows to try and sleep a little.

I had booked a room with breakfast included, but the breakfast would not start until 8 am which was too late to catch our plain. I would have appreciated to know that I’m advance
