Sofitel Algiers Hamma Garden

The rooms were comfortable snd clean.

They allow smoking inside the hotel and the staff are not the friendliest.

Everything specifically the staff in the entrance they are very rude . They don’t know how to talk respectful with people

Location and facilities even though they are old.

It’s a temporal capsule of the 80s. Seems that nothing changed since the hotel has been built. Staff need to learn professionalism and also as solo female traveler, I except that the waiter don’t come to bother me. Staff fights with each other too often in front of client. And not nice at all. I also lost clothes when I gave them for laundry service.

I love the pool. Room was comfortable. Location convenient

The service tended to be a bit more relaxed than other 5 star properties.

Rooms with little window, most of the spaces were privatized : the restaurant was privatized and only the self service or European restaurant were an option, there were no tables for breakfast available except in the lobby corridor and the additional space was also privatized.

The dry cleaning service is very very bad They never answer the telephone and they delay my clothes two days I had to fight to get my clothes back as I was travelling and checking out

Fabulous pool! Very nice room with bath robe and the most wonderful bed I ever slept in.

The buffet, the Algerian local food, lamb mechoui, the Hamoud and Selecto drinks, the Algerian tea and dates. The Hamma Garden (must visit if you go there). The swimming pool. The view from my room was marvellous.

No spa in the hotel, only sauna.

Need renovation

We did like the fact that we could access the adjacent park from within the hotel property at no extra cost. The staff was mostly friendly.

The rooms were run down and need more upkeep. Especially in the bathroom this was visible. When sitting outside in the bar area there was a lot of noise from the AC's on the one side and on the other the furniture was ready for replacement.

Definitely not a sofitel standard hotel.Old, creepy and the staff is average…The buffet at the restaurant is bad.

The rooms are outdated, doesn't look like photos at all.I requested for a better room and they simply answered me this is what you paid for!The room had no slippers, no tissues, no Iron board or ironing machine.Breakfast has very limited options. All in all it was an unpleasant stay.Must be rated 3 stars.

I loved the fact that it’s right by the garden it’s so convenient and also it gives an amazing charm to the whole resort. The breakfast is very good, French pastries are excellent and the fruits are so tasty. I have to completely disagree with all the previous comments my room was very neat, bed and bathroom linens were high quality and cleaned perfectly everything available ( hair dryer, bathroom robe towels, shampoo and shower gel). Same for the staff i would like to thank them and encourage them this hotel is excellent and they are doing an amazing job to make us feel welcome.
