The advertised restaurant was closed

Quite easy access from the parking lot to apartment.

The lady at reception could not inform us in english. Room was ok but not for three persons. There was no planket on extrabed and the extrabed was under the dpuble bed not read to use, covered by dust. We left at 6 am and we could not find any keybox to return it. The gate was closed and there was no way to open it. We needed to climb over the gaye and open it from the other side. This was maybe because of the lack of information or darkness but that’s how it is.

Location was easy to get to.

Booked with Campanile again after an excellent stay at their Chambéry location just 5 days earlier. The Villefranche room was awful. Strong smell of stale cigarettes throughout (despite being a non-smoking establishment) and obviously not properly cleaned. The bathroom was worse, with heavily stained tiles and grouting with mold on the ceiling of the shower. If we hadn't been so tired, we would have left immediately. The whole room just felt delapidated. The bedclothes didn't smell too bad, so we had a short night's sleep and left early. I've trusted the Campanile chain in the past, so this was all quite a shock.

We’ve spent hours trying to find anyone but then gave up and left. Looks like hotel makes fraudulent schemes by providing incorrect information on their booking page. Avoid this place as possible

Location was peaceful

The room we was in there was no air condition. It was broken.

Nice staff, good breakfast.

Low quality rooms, old hot building during summertime. No ventilation, except 1 window. No airco.

Location was awful. Didn’t even attempt to go in as no one was on site. Police flying around everywhere. It looked like the sort of place you see in a film where you stay and get killed.

Restaurant closed ( Saturday) website openings times said open, room heater hardly worked, no sink plug, only two tea bags.no mains plug near bed.no extra pillows.building looked shabby.

The staff was very kind and helpful

. The blanket for the kids bed was dusty and not very hygenic. The room smelled of humidity

Easy check-in, super nice and friendly staff, good for short stay.

Staff were super friendly and rooms were very clean

There were no shops or restaurants within a 25 minute walking distance. Tea/Coffee sachets were supplied on the first day of the stay but weren't replenished each day.

Friendly, good parking, good bed and nice linen. Very basic furniture but all clean and perfect for a respite from the motorway. Good shower

The evening menu previously was ok this time Pizza only. Not good.

The week-end staff was helpful

There was no real dinner available.. In the Beaujolais area there was not such a wine on the wine list. We got a Brouilly on special request.

it wasn’t quite clean, had to redo the bathroom before using it, shower was broken and there was no more hairdryer available at the desk

Surroundings and general appearances not up to normal Campanile standards,in great need of refurbishing.

Pleasant staff, good location. Good breakfast.

No restaurant available for evening meal, bed very old and uncomfortable, room tired, floor sticky, toilet didn't work properly. Not what we expect from Campanile.

Staff exceptional.

Facilities, old, tired and poor. Guest standing outside our door smoking which is where the cigarette bin was located instead of being across the car park and away from the rooms.We asked to buy a wine to drink in our room, pre dinner, around 5ish and we're told we would have to wait until dinner was served at 7pm

great location and the ability to park outside your room is useful. very basic and tired decor but has everything you need and excellent value for money. was clean and simple

a refurb would make it ideal but may push price up so it does what it needs to for an overnight rest stop.
